Appreciate what you're saying, but what were the odds Palace and Leicester beat City back to back? It's the Premier League, and nothing is dead certain in this league.

Of course we'd all prefer to start like we did v Chelsea and Cardiff in the league, but I would happily take another scrappy game with a last gasp winner (sorry heart I know you can't take much more, but we wouldn't be Spurs if it was easy). As long as we win, I don't care how the performance is.
As long as we don't score after 20 seconds then bugger off home for tea like the City players did we'll be fine.

Confident. I really hope the lads start at full capacity from.the off though, and don't wait until half time. Smash into them right from the start ala 2nd half at Watford. High press. Please not 3 at the back.

How, precisely, am I supposed to rate this, @slartibartfast ? Huh? I'm sat here on the verge of tears! You need to think these things through, FFS!

EDIT: I went with 'Informative'. :cautious:
You dont have to rate it.
You can just ignore it .
I didnt mean to upset anyone.
It was a harrowing story.
Maybe I'll give future posts a warning at the start.
Something like 'This post contains horror, violence and offensive language and has been rated an 18. Those easily offended should jog on.'
:ROFLMAO:

The fixture schedule has given us a lovely chance to apply a stress test to those around us. Liverpool will wonder how an unreal haul of points has them just 4 points ahead of us. It would fuck with anyone's minds to stew on that for a couple of days, and we've had 6 losses to boot. It fucks with my mind that were collecting so many points, only to be in 3rd spot.

Add to that City play Arsenal, so a win for us provides a certain point cushion against one direct rival.

If Liverpool are going to be reeled in, it's time to test their mettle. COYS.

Hopefully we turn up in the first half this week.

Newcastle will more than likely park the bus with a 541 so patience will be key.

I'm a bit of a broken record on this one. Start fast, score quick, be solid, score more and we, obviously, win. It's kind of been the opposite of that recently but we've still ground out the points in league games. Could do with a convincing one against Newcastle but Rafa will try every trick in the book and they've a habit of banana skinning us. We. Need. To. Be. On. It.

Not conceding some dumb, soft as shit goal(s) that make the rest of the game a monumental struggle to get back into it would be a nice change.......

Very excited for this as over in London so heading to the game. Will be doing my best to create an atmosphere that our team and manager deserve and that helps push us on to 3 valuable points.

I think however, this will be a tough one. We know how Nwwcastle play and Rafa is actually a very good manager at setting teams up defensively. The main thing in our favour is that they are just not a very good team.

Hopefully Llorente is now full of confidence after his winner on Wedensday. Apart from his missed chances I thought he played well and was decent at holding the ball up and showed some good link up play. Him and Somny can make a decent partnership.

I have not given up on the title yet, this time of year is perfect to get a run going and a couple of draws for the Scousers and we are on them. I am up for this. COYS

Start slow, keep it clean and tighten the screws as the game goes on. Afraid if we start with press from the beginning, we won't have the legs for the last 20 minutes.

It'd be nice to blitz them in the first 15 minutes, then slow it down a bit for the remaining first half.

Easier said than done though, as you need experienced players to vary the tempo of a match.

But it would be a change to get out of the blocks flying for once!

Since the match threads have started adding the poll I have voted us to win each time.

I am worse than Lawro.
