I see keeper- Romero- ccb- Lcb- Spence- Skipp- Bentancur- Sarr- Udogie- Kuluevski- Kane- Son being a productive 343 future for us. Spence, Udogie, and Sarr should get as many competitive minutes as possible in next 18 months imo. All at 19-23 age and could hopefully if coached right could be massive in their respective positions.
I think that's a title winning line up...

...the extra player is sure to be an advantage ?

A winger is an attacker though?
True - but we need a CF rather than a winger. I don’t think Richy is an out and out CF. And he is certainly nowhere near capable of filling HK’s boots in the future. So we still need someone else for that position - a victor osimen for example.

Unfortunately - I see another Groundhog Day coming soon. Owners unable / unwilling to keep backing the manager. Conte will go and Kane & Sonny will soon follow and we will be back to starting all over again. I’m not an ENIC lover, never have been, but I’m not having a go at them either here by the way. I just think if they are not capable of having us challenge for honours then they really need to consider passing on the reins to someone who can. They have had their chance to be fair.

Richy looked like a pretty good CF in the world cup though? He's not the level of HK, but who is? And anyone who is even close, like Osihmen, is not gonna sit on our bench.

I agree we need another attacking player, but imo I think we would be better off buying a rotation option for Kulu.

It's going to take patience, but in a couple of years - Spurs are going to be really good, imo. Some really interesting young players right now - Sarr, Udogie, Gil , Spence - not to mention Kulusevksi, Romero and Richarlison
Yep. We can't and I mean can't lose faith in Gil and Sarr. Both are raw and need lots and lots of games but the talent is undoubtedly there. Pape Sarr particularly can seriously be one of the best midfielders around but he can't keep rotting in our reserves. Seems slightly counter intuitive to be singing the likes of Udogie, Gil, Spence and Sarr and then fail to develop/manage them adequately. Hopefully there is an improvement in that regard.

I don’t think Osimen would be warming our bench. But that is the standard of player that we will need to replace HK. I also feel that we really need to face up to the fact that we need to start considering selling H while we still have a chance of getting decent wedge for him. We could still realistically get 80m+ for him this summer which could then fund a move for a player such as Osimen. We are getting to that point though.

Got very high hopes for Udogie because not only does he look technically good, he’s a physical specimen too. Sarr and Spence I think will be good enough given time but I think the clock is running down for Gil tbh. If I had to put money on it I’d go strongly the way of him not making it here unless he goes on loan and really proves himself. Young players either need to be technically superb or physically superb to get their chance in a squad as good as ours. Spence and Udogie have that physical x-factor and Sarr is very athletic and well rounded as a midfielder for such a young player, they all have something to offer in my opinion, whereas Gil really hasn’t shown to excel in any area. I feel like people overplay his technical ability as something that’s going to come good later down the line and cite players like David and Bernardo Silva when he’s not even close to that level of technical ability in my opinion. He feels to me like the sort of player we should be getting out of our academy at 17-18 rather than a 21 year old we’ve handed over around 30-40 million in money and assets (Lamela) to get. I’ve found him very disappointing so far and I can’t see him making it here unless something drastically changes

Have to say why on earth was Son on the bench and why did he come on when AC was saying he was ill?

That was a decent run out. Not too concerned about Forster and Tanganga filling in for Lloris and Romero against Brentford, and Doherty is looking more than decent cover for Perisic on the left. Up front though we have a problem if Kane and Son aren’t ready. Gil and White were consistently outmuscled.

Sarr looks promising, and an interesting cameo from Mundle, who seems to have caught Conte’s eye.

Feel very sorry for Skippy and Spence. This was a good opportunity for them to make a case to start against Brentford.

Nice seem to have come in with aggressive intent in mind. Which is good as it makes for a better work out for the lads.

Yes, it is only a friendly, but it is shocking that a player like Sanchez can look so awful even in this type of setting. His regression is confusing. And a shame.
Didn't watch, but disappointed that Spence and Skipp were not even named in the squad at all. Seemed like a perfect time to give them some minutes, but....
