Maybe, but they were a popular pick to go down before the season started. Winning a Cup like this is a long-shot, particularly at this stage - better to focus on league matches, and if they can pull an upset or 2, then play a stronger squad.

We will be in trouble if the players take the attitude that Watford are not there to win.

They should be going all out to win it. It’s a trophy they could win if they tried. Saying that I’ve no idea on half of their players so I hope they are poor.

This clearly isn’t our best XI, but man, that’s a strong team and with 8 changes from Brighton....our squad does have depth despite the negative narrative.

And to add to that, Lloris, Verts, Rose, Eriksen and Kane not even on the bench that’s almost half a team!
