I think part of the problem is the message Poch has sent out for the past few seasons that the cups don't really matter. It's one of my few criticisms of him. You can't say that and then expect the players to give these games their all.

As for something wrong, it is sadly seeming like that. What the cause its we don't know and can only speculate, but I am really not liking what I've seen since the season started. With the exception of the latter half of the Man U game and a few glimpses I don't think we have looked that convincing all season. Not like we have in the past.

Hopefully it's just another slow start, in part down to exhausted players.
