Really, I watched a different game then. We weren’t at our best but I’ve also seen us play much worse than that. What did Poch say?

Haven’t heard his verdict yet, but Poch never gives much away in interviews.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen us play worse, but we gave away too many chances for me that a bettef team would have punished and going forward we just look a bit leggy and disjointed. Plus a lot of players are just a bit off form all at the same time. It happens.

Have you been at Wembley? Just asking because I’m a ST holder, but I didn’t go tonight and I’ve found over the years that a game can have a different complexion when you watch it in the stadium as opposed to watching on TV.

Did you not think that following Watfords substitutions bringing on Delafeu and Deeney they started creating space and chances but after Poch brought on Sissoko for Son they dried up again, it seemed pretty clear to me.

Yeah, surprised anyone was surprised that Poch made that sub. It's Poch's preferred sub and it was a good one. It worked. Sissoko was actually decent in his Sissoko kind of way. Needed to be as Wanyama decided to watch Dembele's performance and do that whole "hold my beer" meme...:D

Pretty sure people have just been surprised as to how shit Wanyama was when he came on. And he was dreadful. Surely you’re not suggesting otherwise?

It’s not like anyone’s calling for him to be moved on are they?
Wanyama was injured in pre- and early season and has struggled all through winter and spring. The same has happened to other players in the Poch years, they are good players and do well the previous season but without a proper pre-season they struggle to hit the required heights.

It's definitely a trend. Warning lights will be flashing for anyone who misses pre-season through injury this summer.

Even though we won and that’s the most important I’m still frustrated. After disappointing results lately I was expecting the team to be aggressive this game and show desire. But we was the opposite, no energy and no desire. And Poch didn’t help with his negative substitutions. Luca should’ve come on instead of Wanyama, Lamela instead of Sissoko. We invited pressure and if we’re being honest we’re lucky Watford didn’t score today, Lloris was brilliant. The atmosphere was shit too, I hate Wembley.
We need new fast fullbacks (I know that Trippier played well today)
We desperately need a CM who is a good passer
Sissoko has to be sold in the summer

Positives today:
Lloris saved us many times
Jan was fantastic p, unlucky not to score
Trippier good in the first 60-65 minutes but got passed almost all the time after that
Alli scored again and was good, he was creative today
Eriksen on double figures on both goals and assist
Kane scored but he didn’t look good again today

We desperately need a wing forward with pace like Willian

Kane:

"I feel good. I’d like to have played better in the last few games, same of the team, but I feel good, feel sharp and could have scored more. Hopefully I can finish strong like I did last season going into a big summer.

"I try to improve every year. Last year I got 29 goals so I’d like to beat that but we’ll see what happens. In my mind I'm trying to get to that 30 mark."

Thought we were abysmal. Watford cut us apart pretty much at will and would have scored a few were it not for Hugo and Jan. I thought Dembele was terrible and gave the ball away constantly and Kane still clearly isn't fit. It was similar to the Palace game.

Anyway...great result..lets hope we learn next time!

But man.. this is why we have them! Do you expect us to be comfortable at the back every game?

Well Arsenal would tear Atletico apart if they didn't have Oblak and Godin. But this is football, you need world class player in every position so he can save you when needed.

Once we win because of Kane and Eriksen, next time because of defenders.

None of the other teams have anything to play for. Leicester and Newcastle are in shit form and West Brom, albeit resurgent, are West Brom.

Even if we're awful we should get more than 1 pt. I'd be surprised if we didn't win at least one.
uhm - we need 4 points

I thought we were average and lucky, because we could have thrown in away. Kane still doesn't look fit, Dembélé is not as secure as before, and Dier is lackadaisical with his passing. MOTM was Hugo, by a country mile.

True about Poch mate. And agree with your comments, we certainly gave them too many chances but for me that was from sloppy passes and individual mistakes than us playing poorly as a team.

I’m a ST holder yes but on holiday so Did watch this one on TV yep.

Could you argue with me if I say we had some quality moments in front of goal to put 2 in the net + world clas GK and CBs, and this is why we were simply the winning team today..?

Oh, and Poch knew how to win the game as well ;)

Guys, you do realise we were 2.0 up in a must win game when 'the negative subs' as you call them were made.
We were seeing the game out. And we did so comfortably.
You dont stick another 2 attacking players on and go for 3 4 or 5 goals.
Yes it was far too slow in the 1st half with not enough urgency but we went in at half time 1.0 up and once we scored the 2nd early on it was job done.
I disagree slightly. We were 2 up after 48 mins with the entire half left to play a third makes it comfortable because had Watford had a goalscorer worth their salt they would have nicked one and then it's squeaky bum time for the remainder of the match.

Emotional night for me and my group tonight as our close friend passed away last Sunday, the semi-final at Wembley being the last place we saw him. Thank you to anyone who joined in with the 59th minute applause.

The football was secondary tonight, but glad we got the win.

RIP Pottsy
Jeez what happened to him pal? Sorry to hear the sad news :( game means nothing in perspective.
