Pretty sure people have just been surprised as to how shit Wanyama was when he came on. And he was dreadful. Surely you’re not suggesting otherwise?

It’s not like anyone’s calling for him to be moved on are they?

Was he bollocks. We were shit all night, he's a fucking busy DM, what did people expect, he'd come on and lift us to a higher plain of football?

Dier and Dembele were fucking atrocious. Slowing everything down, giving the ball away, letting Watford players run past them all night.

You're probably a lovely fella in real life, but the cyber you doesn't half talk some shite. And that goes for you @yankspurs with your "that's why Dier's been playing all season" shite. Its like you haven't watched the last 4 games of Dier dropping anchor and doing his Phil Jones in midfield impression.

I really can’t understand why Sissoko came on and Moura didn’t.

Fair enough if Sissoko went into midfield to even up the numbers but he played on the wing...

Oh well, 3 points, Neville boiling scouser piss, job done.

For all you moaners that really wasn’t that bad a performance. We controlled the game especially in the first half except for a few sloppy passes from Dembele and Dier.
Trippier yet again got targeted by the opposition and had another up and down game, got forward pretty well and got his assist but also got beaten about 3/4x by his winger and that header towards the end my goodness?, basic defending high and WIDE, away from the goal not straight back to their player in the area!

Anyway at 2-0 they threw on more attackers and we soaked up a bit more pressure but we could’ve and should’ve also scored mabye 2 more. Completely normal game, mabye a little under par but mostly controlled the game and got the job done but yet again our weaknesses or areas for improvement should I say were clear for all to see.

Also poch bringing on lamela out of loyalty to him fair enough but that dribble he did where he just needed to use his right foot sums him up, pretty sure Lucas would’ve buried that,as he would’ve sissokos shot over the bar, it’s just not good enough for where we need/want to be.

Anyway good 3 Points and fairly happy with the performance but hopefully poch can see these areas it’s clear we need to improve in.

We really didn't control that game at all. I'll happily salute a grind where we control it, don't let the opposition have chances and sneak it, but that wasn't one of those. We had no tempo at all, didn't press them, were sloppy with the ball, let the game get open, let them open us up and not even on the break.

That was fucking dire.

I thought Wanyama was ok. Better than Dembele who looks completely shot. I can see why we are thinking of moving him on.

Pretty limp performance, and almost feel glad I couldn't go tonight.. The team look shattered after a long hard season.
Still job done - fuck you Chelsea, and especially you Cahill, you slag!.

You didn't miss much, even the atmosphere was flat. Felt like I was surrounded by people that had never been a football match before

Wanyama was nowhere near as poor as Dembele or Dier.

Perhaps the frustration at a lack of more proactive substitutions is clouding peoples judgement on him. He’s not going to start pinging the ball around, setting the tempo and creating chances.

However, the sight of Wanyama, Dier and Sissoko in a CM3 at home against Watford has left me in a cold sweat.

I do think Wanyama is struggling to get round the pitch a bit though and break up play, he's not really demonstrating that he should be in the team and wrestling that shirt off someone else - even if the other two are serving up some real shite. Being on that bizarre booking from the moment he stepped on the pitch probably didn't help though tonight.

Jeez what happened to him pal? Sorry to hear the sad news :( game means nothing in perspective.

We’re still not sure mate, was a complete shock. Sat next to him at the semi on the Saturday, texting him moaning about the game Sunday morning and then find out he passed away Sunday evening. He was a northern yid who’s been going home and away for the best part of 50 years, so was glad he got a good send off this eve.

As you said puts everything in to perspective and I’m spending a lot less time being pissed off with football, put it that way!

Talking of getting round the pitch, I’m surprised Dembele wasn’t given oxygen when he came off.

What "shite" have I talked? You really do act bizarrely sometimes, BC. Actually quite a lot of the time.

Wanyama was dreadful. Made the same suicidal passes as Dembele and Dier had made. He coughed up possession, wasn't that good at winning it back. Worst of all he let Watford players walk past him twice IN THE FUCKING BOX. If Sissoko had played like that you'd have, rightly, been losing your nut. But because its your preferred CM and you've spent loads of time shoving that down peoples throats you just can't bear losing face and admitting it.

FWIW, I agree with you that Wanyama, when fit and in form, is clearly our best CDM. But he was dreadful tonight. Stop acting like a baby and move on.

Indeed, I see more ability to get round the pitch on my Sunday League team - including the guy who gets through a pack of smokes before the game, repeats the trick at HT, and then completes the treble at FT...

I wanted Wanyama on for Dembele at half time. When he came on I saw why Poch isn't starting him.

He'll be back to his old self after a decent pre-season but let's not kid ourselves - that was the anti-Wanyama out there tonight.
