Trips was fine until he got smashed in the back of the head with a forearm shiver. Probably should have come off. A lot like the Watford game, the ref let it get physical and we didnt cope.
The game today reminded alot of the Watford game tbh. It just seemed like everything went to shit and there was no direction on the pitch.

Our players are human. We’ve played a lot of games within a short period and have a number of important players missing through injury. Tiredness has naturally crept in as we didn’t have much rotation to use between the senior experienced players in the squad.

I hope the boys brush this loss as a one off , and get back on winning ways again in the upcoming games .

Football is a physical game so I can't see that as an excuse.

I know the well worn cliche will be thrown out a few times today and by the so called experts, but there are about 87 clubs in England who would love to be as Spursy as us.

Funny how Man City have lost a couple to 'lower' teams, with all the quiadrillions and the squad they have, yet somehow we feel we shouldn't be, with a restricted budget and tired players.

All things considered we're still doing amazingly well.
But they don’t have two pedestrians at fullback. They were very wise to bin Tripper when they did

Game definitely over...
Very poor attitude from our players.
Ain't never gonna win the league
If we make the investment we need in personnel to build a squad that has the depth of quality required to cover a whole season in the toughest, most demanding division in world football, along with all the cups, the drain from internationals, injuries etc., we may have a good shot at it in the very near future.

Keep poch, new stadium/fortress, keep or do everything to properly replace eriksen if he goes (as much like-for-like as possible).

If we don't do all the right things to give ourselves the best possible chance, we have no right to expect it.

As much as they are despisable, Liverpool did what they needed to do to set themselves up for a real shot and are now being rewared for daring and doing.

Our record at Wembley is beyond excellent.

The problem wasn't Wembley it was fatigue and complacency leading to over 100 misplaced passes. We completely lost control in the middle and didn't have anyone to come on and take control.

People seem to think we aren't playing Lamela, Dembele, Dier and Wanyama out of choice. They are all injured and have been for some time.
Our record away is better than our record at home this season. We were nearly invincible our last year at the lane. Wembley may not be our biggest problem but don't kid yourself it's a problem.

Willy Boly is an absolute colossus by the way. Won absolutely everything in the air.

Poch needed to change the system second half when we were getting overrun. Not for the first time, he didn't react, which is why we lost.

Eriksen was absolutely terrible. I would have hooked him rather than Alli...we needed fighters in there

I would have put Rose on and switched to a back 3.

The one good thing has come out of today is that we can stop all this talk of the title and instead concentrate on a top four finish.

Weird take.

Liverpool spending hundreds of millions is not an excuse for shoddy capitulation against a dodgy-at-best Wolves side.

They're not exactly dodgy at best. They're a good team that plays the best football in the league outside the top 6 (which is probably why they're currently 7th)

They have 2 highly competent central midfielders in Moutinho and Nevez, a solid defence, a good keeper, a good fullback in Doherty and a solid hardworking forward in Jimenez.

Sure, we should be beating them, but they were solid and organised, and we were off form and looked leggy in the second half...

Can some one explain whats bad about fans being upset after a loss like that?

Nothing wrong with being upset.

Posting complete bollocks though is bad at any time. If we can't cut this group some slack with what they've achieved given the complete demolition of our midfield from injury - well, it's not actually "support" in any way is it?

Ill say again - Lamela, Dembele, Dier and Wanyama are all injured. That has to take a toll. Today it did.

Is that not fair comment?

That's where we miss Dier, he enables us to do that, hopefully he isn't out too much beyond the middle part of Jan.

Shit result today, we'll have to go again at Cardiff and then rest/rotate for Tranmere as we have Chelsea the following week.

Its not the upset.. Its the fickle nature of some... Its complete bollocks that someone can wank over us one minute then **** us off immediatley after

He doesn't have a bench. They're all fucking injured.

Jesus...
He has Llorente. So by your pleasant reaction I assume you are quite content with how Poch handled things today. You must have a low contentment threshold.

I for one am dissapointed, but I know there will always be upsets in football. Happens to bigger clubs than ours so I don't dwell on these things, I can switch my thoughts to my own life and the things in my control.

Never thought Sissoko & Winks as a combination was strong enough & we've rather been getting away with it in previous games.

Didn't see the game, but when it was obvious in the 2nd half that we were being overrun, surely we would have been better to revert to 3 at the back & WBacks by bringing on Rose using Foyth or Davies as a 3rd CB?

Agree with you. I thought we struggled as Winks went missing, off the ball he was weak. His passing was crap, gave the ball away loads. It's all well and good knocking it around under no pressure but as soon as you get in his face he crumbles.

Sissoko we saw his limitations too today, against a very good in possession wolves midfield.
