Pretty sure O' Shea played in the Irish League when he was 18 or at least he didn't leave for United until then so I wouldn't credit him as a product of their academy.

just give it a few years, we will have a few out there as well.
But the last.... far to many years we have had a poor set up for the youths.

Correct he joined United at 17....my mate's obviously winging it - still puts them in the high teens mind you...

I thought De Laet came from abroad, he was loaned to their Belgian feeder club, certainly.

Wasn't loaned, simply played for Royal Antwerp, then moved to Stoke, then United bought him in 2009.
