In Pekhart's case, at least he's only 21 and managing to play top flight football (and score regularly it seems) in his home country. The Czech league is no worse than the Croatian in terms of the teams the produce, and Modric, Corluka and Kranjcar were all older when they moved abroad. There's still time on his side to resurrect his career and maybe even play in a decent league for a decent club one day.
Mills, jesus that's floppitude of some enormity!
Baardsen was pretty talented and seems to have just made a career choice, and one that worked out.
Haha Rodrigo Defendi, the first Brazilian at Spurs. They've been steadily improving since.. next up was Gilberto Silva, then Gomes who started poorly and himself improved, so I guess Sandro is going to be amazing!
Acimovic had a good international career, did fairly well in France and now, in his old age, is playing in a second tier league for the best side in that country, and doing pretty well. We were a blip on an otherwise decent career, to say we was never seen again is a little bit insulting both to him and to his subsequent clubs.
I saw a lot of Charlie Lee and felt he was going to be our new Mabbutt, but injuries messed that up. I think he'll probably remain around the Championship for the duration of his career, but would be delighted for the boy if one day he found his way into a Premier League club, he's got talent and a whole lot of heart.
