Kenneth McEvoy (mini Bale) now plays for South Normanton Athletic of the East Midlands Counties league (10th level on the football pyramid).
I thought he went to York City? I suppose as a footballer you have to believe in your own ability so if you are not getting the games it must be someone else's fault. I'm sure Rohan Ricketts has said that he was overlooked because as a skilful player he didn't get the opportunity to play in the rough and tumble of English football.

His missus ruined him....take a look at his instagram and you'll see what shes about

Wasn't Rohan Rickets a tea leaf? Sure I heard he got bombed out for that, as he looked to have established himself a a good young squad player at the least and then just seem to vanish

Wasn't that when he was let go from Arsenal ? I seem to remember reports he stole a mobile phone from the dressing room ?

I went to school with Tommy Forecast and was quite good mates until I went to uni and we kind of lost touch, although I still semi-followed his career.

I remember him saving 2 penalties in an FA youth cup match at WHL against Liverpool and was heralded as the next great hope. But over time seemingly dropped lower and lower until being part of the bale deal (which I think still technically makes him the 3rd most expensive keeper of all time or something).

From there he was almost universally hated at Southampton, Grimsby and various other lower league clubs until I believe he's fallen out of the game. He's become some kind of cult figure at Southampton for essentially stealing a living. When he made his league debut it was described as "one of the most incompetent displays the football league has ever seen"

He was always a bit big time so doesn't surprise me

Phil Ifil is a fitness coach.

Callum Davenport made a few appearances locally for small teams. Incidentally luke chadwick is playing in the cambs fa league.

Although never played but a spurs fan, Dave Kitson is a coach i think at arlesey.

Theres a few dotted around. Chris waddle and hazard both still play iirc.

Looking through the old posts I noticed that someone had mentioned Yuri Berchiche.

He had a short and ill-fated loan spell at my local side Cheltenham Town. This was notable for his total lack of interest and an incident at S****horpe that is semi legendary among Cheltenham fans.

At the time Scunny had Henri Lansbury on loan from the gooners. In the last minute, 3-0 down and with all subs used, Yuri launched into a frankly heinous challenge on Lansbury. Most people in the ground were convinced he'd broken his leg, it was that bad.

Lower league ref's being what they are he only got a yellow card but the Cheltenham manager Martin Allen (total nobbinger that bloke) took him off anyway in disgust.

I believe Berchiche is now playing for Real Sociedad but always figures at lb in any worst ever Cheltenham Town XI.

He scored a cracking goal for Real Sociedad against Deportivo a couple of weeks ago.

Drugs, guns and hip hop is alarmingly quite close. Not sure about the kittens, will have to get back to you on that one.

Terry Dixon is now playing for Aylesbury after spending some years in non-League after his repeated bad knee injuries. At the time he was with us all the yoot' watchers said that he was the best striker prospect we'd had in quite some years, but he just got wiped out by his injuries.

Qu Bo (remember him?) has 78 caps for China, and Jamie Slabber has been a fairly regular scorer in non-league. I remember the pair of them firing me to glory on Champo back in the day.

I really thought Mark Yeates might make it, he started in the cup against Chelsea and hit the post, a few inches the other way and he could have been a short term sensation.

I read that our old youth striker Cameron Lancaster, who now plays for Louisville City has just won the Golden Boot in the United Soccer League (USL), the second tier of football in the USA below Major League Soccer. He scored 25 goals in the recent USL season as he helped Louisville finish second in the league. With 41 career goals for the club, he is already their record goalscorer. He just made team of the week for 3 goals in 2 games. The first goal in this clip is ridiculous.
