Strange how this isn't being called a knee jerk thread.
Our form is fairly consistent right now. I’d say it’s been coming for a while. Knee jerk is panicking at 2-0 down with 80 minutes to go when we still have time to implement our game and get a result.

Completely agree but FYP

2-0 down against the Italian Champions and former CL finalists. It's perfectly normal for people to panic even with 80 minutes left. Some newer supporters wouldn't have experienced this much before.

Well I’m glad they’ve learned a life lesson.

170 minutes*

People losing their shit after 10 minutes seemed to forget even a 2-1 result at that stage would have been decent. All we needed to do was settle down, and play our game. No problem.

People losing their shit was based on them thinking along the lines of a 5-0 loss as opposed to a 2-1 loss at the time!

Anyway, maybe the term Spursy picks up a new definition in the coming weeks, months and years

Spursy - a team that doesn’t know when they are beat (y)

I’d really prefer it to be ‘Spursy - that word we don’t use anymore’.

Why though? I don't understand this mentality, and I grew up watching Spurs in the 90's...

If this is “spursy” what I have witnessed the last 2-3 weeks then I will take that all day everyday for the rest of my life as a spurs supporter.

That’s the sort of “spursy” I like.

Mullers you genuinely sound almost annoyed that we came back to draw.

Very odd.
Na just pointing out inconsistances. If someone makes a post criticising the team or the managet immediately after the match it's called knee jerk, whether the criticism is constructive or not.

How about after 10 mins then?

I agree and even said so myself in the match day thread.

The match day thread is the place for immediate reactions good or bad. If someone starts making a thread 10 minutes in, it's pretty foolish and would probably be shut down very fast.

This. I really don't understand how precious people get about a few negative posts, especially in real time.

It's a bit different when the same poster just keeps peddling the same bollocks over and over again which is annoying, but if random negative comments really upset your optimistic bubble that much then I suggest the internet isn't for you. Just go and surround yourself with a load of people who always share the same opinion as you instead and you'll have a better time.
