correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure i saw ekotto wearing the no.23 shirt in the exeter game... everyone else that i saw seemed to be wearing their usual numbers so i'm guessing he's changed his. anyone else gonna change theirs? if bentley's off then woody can have no.5, palacios/vieira can have no.4, keane can get his no.10 back. didn't see defoes shirt, assuming he won't stick to 25...

not sure who's going to be able to shed light on this, but thought i'd post anyway.

Gomes wasn't there. My guess is they only had two keeper shirts (#1 and #13), and outfield shirts up to #27, then the players just made the most of what they had.

My guess is the only ones that are likely is Defoe switching to #18 after Campbell has gone, and Rose getting #25. Boateng might get 17 if Gio leaves I suppose. But Alnwick's #27 went to Dervite too. I wouldn't trust it at all. Same for Ekotto as 23, since it's the closest to 32 they had.

bent started last preseason with his old no 23 then swaped to 10 the day we sold keano. Therell be an official announcement but we dont tend to change the numbers unless players leave and vacate one. also, woody couldve taken 5 last year but didnt, maybe he likes 39!

Gomes didn't play last night, so the two keepers that did had the number 1 and 13 jerseys, but as they had no names on the shirts, they aren't the new squad numbers, so don't worry!

cheers and rep for that... good to see defoe back in 18, and i reckon disco may well take the 23. reckon (barring the GKs) the others are quiet accurate, but that 10, 16, 17 and maybe 5 will end up available. doubt that livermore's got 19 sewn up either!
