With all these players departing or possibly departing:

Bassong
Dawson
Charlie
Kranjcar
Rose
Hudd
King
Nelsen
Saha
Pienaar
Modric
etc..

How is our team going to look for the likes of the League Cup and Europa Cup?

Usually fringe players would get a game in these sorts of matches, so does this mean we are going to go all out for all our competitive matches?

Touch wood someone got an injury, do we have the necessary cover?

From two seasons ago being lumbered with dead wood to now having a very limited squad, interesting isn't it?

Carroll, Caulker, Kane and Towsend probably getting plenty of first team football in cup matches. AVB wants to win everything he enters this season so would expect our stronger players to feature in cup games too. A couple more signings and we'll have a healthy squad.

Will they handle it ok? Remember a couple of seasons ago when bale, and probably a couple others were 'knackered' by the end of the season and couldn't perform. Will this happen again or will they just receive a kick up the arse and be told to wise up?

I can't imagine any of the 4 above I mentioned starting anymore than 10 - 15 games this season in all comps.

Something like

fuck me, 90 minutes of running about and kicking a ball, for this they train 4 days a week for about 2-3 hours a day.

The rest of the time is their own.

FUck ye they can manage an extra game if it replaces training one day a week.

Not calling you out, but I love it when supporters can read the manager's mind :)

That was under the Redknapp regime though, where training was probably not far off just an hour or two of heads and volleys  Im expecting AVB to get them into better shape, and then coupled with better rotation, they shouldnt run out of steam in February.
