Only 8 pages ffs, really need Dtx and Tiger to have some arguments about whether we need him or not or we’ll never reach 100 pages in time
Where is that little fucker? I'd probably be fine with this, just not thrilled about not replacing at CB. Also, wouldn't be excited if Lobotkva and Grealish were the extent of our summer activity.

I take it we failed bring in our main targets considering this guy have a release clause we could have activated to give him a proper pre season?

This is Daniel Levy we're talking about here - the release clause is the last resort, he'll try and get him for less.

Two punts for the price of a quality player...not like us.

Does look very well rounded - plenty of energy, two footed, excellent dribbling under pressure and has decent defensive and passing stats. Scores very low on errors made, duels lost and has great discipline too. Could be the tidy link man we need.

You are like my Mrs, never satisfied ?
Why should I be satisfied with what I don't think would be required? We need to replace Dembele, Sissoko and now seemingly Alderweireld. Lobotkva, Grealish and thats still one spot missing... We're going to hopefully compete in 4 competitions, we need better depth than what we would seemingly have at CB. Jan is 32, we can't have him play every single game this season if we have important games at the end of the season where we need him at his best.

I think we’re as well covered as you can expect to be at the back.

Vertonghen and Sanchez top class starters, Dier experienced at CB as first backup and then Foyth, who you have to assume poch trusts, and CCV who’s had a decent season in the championship and is now an international. Add to that that Davies, Aurier and Wanyama have all played there and can be last resorts.

Any more cover would be a bit ridiculous

I'm really not sure about CCV. I'd love to be wrong but IMO he's not quite good enough for us.

It’s the greatest transfer policy ever...sign no one so fans are begging for just 1-2 third rate signings.

I'm all for this. Looks impressively tidy, and like something we've been missing from the side for a while. Fast transitional play from winning the ball back to attacking.

I knew if we waited long enough we'd end up with some bang average yoke I've never heard of at a price acceptable to Rumpelstiltskin

If Lidl's did transfer windows.

Why do we need to replace Dembélé right now? We replaced Alderweireld last summer when we bought Sánchez.

From the looks of preseason, we are switching to 433, so central defensive depth is not as urgent. I'd rather upgrade our forward depth if there only one position left. Dier is more than capable at CB and if we upgrade at midfield he needs to play somewhere. Lobotka looks like a true water carrier like Modric used to for us (he's become a much more attacking player at Real Madrid) - we could really use a player like that, whilst Grealish would be a rotational player with Eriksen and Dele in the more attacking midfield roles. That switch means we only have Lamela, Moura and Son for the wing forward positions, so I'd much rather bring in Martial or Zaha than another centre back.

Cause I think most of us think he's past it at this level. Depth man, depth. We have gotten killed with lackluster depth over the years, how is this so hard to comprehend.
