after the Derby game which he played well, his form dropped bigtime and was easily one of the worst players in the Fulham and Arse game etc,

last couple games he has been a bit better and put the effort in so I will give him that, but no way our best player this season as he has had a poor run of games earlier

was the reason Jol dropped him and why he has been subbed off often :wink:

the Bale injury however has given him another chance which he knows he has to take and has done a decent job since then, trouble for me is he has great games against some lesser quality teams, but goes missing against the better teams :-|

Steed and Keano have been the only players that have lived up to their ability. Bale has looked great but Steed has to play somewhere.

I kind of like Steed, but can anyone remember a matchwinning, or even a very good performace against a good side? This is not a sly dig at him - a genuine question.

For clarity, I would offer Bale v Man U this year or Lennon v Chelsea last year as the kind of barometer.

yep, while I think Steed goes missing against the better teams, I can't fault him and TT ( as you mentioned him too ) in that regard :wink:

noticed TT blocked a long shot and a cheer from the crowd, knowing how many long shots we concede and all, hope to see more of that closing down :wink:

steeds been a goo player for, even despite not playing in his natural AMC role. i really rate him man. Still wud defprefer Bale for the lefty.

steed certainly deserves a place in the team, but is'nt that mr. ramos' philosophy anyway, players picked on last performance rather than reputation. if bale gets automatically put straight back into the first eleven then on recent performances, chimbo could lose his place to lee, bale gets lb and steed keeps his position.
steed is my player of the season so far and i'd like to see him behind the front two, in place of jj

steed definately has been the player for us this season who has put in 100% effort every time he steps onto the pitch

if only he started scoring some goals he would be regarded more highly to all spurs fans
