12 games to late in my opinion he should never had been given the job in the first place he spent to many years under Sven and that rubbed off on him.I hope the fa gets someone who hasn't got any ties with the national side but has managed in the prem.

:hello::hello:

Seany you said you wanted Martin Jol to manager England not Jose!!!

But about England - every single thing about the England set up has been hugely embarrassing.

Wembley - Supposed to be 'the home of football'.. I've seen local parks with a better surface than that, just patheticly embarrassing.

Manager - His cheesy smile, his complete lack of confidence and his bullshit. Glad he has gone, he's fucking useless.

Team - Where to start eh... supposedly 2 of hte best midfielders earth has to offer in Lampard and Gerrard and they are both pretty shite for England. Defenders, useless, and its worrying if England rely on Michael 'sicknote' Owen to score goals.

Back staff - Coaches need replacing, Clemence has done fuck all for our keepers, no confidence, nothing....

The FA - I'm afraid they ave to take a huge portion of the blame for appointing such a bad manager in the first place.

Thats enough for me, lets hope they actually sort it out now.

This guy was a gapig asshole, Im not to patriotic in genreal but this qualifications proccess has been embarassing, you start Crouch and leave the best crosser of the ball on the bench? You play 5 in the middle at home and still let in 2 goals? He should have resigned, no class, but thank god we dont have see his smug face again talking shit. If this guy gets a job managing a top Prem team I will actually physically ROFL.

Jose or O'Neill for the job, would take either but obviously Jose would be first choice the crazy portugese schemer that he is!

The FA take near enough ALL the blame for me, Mc should never have been appointed in the first place, he didn't have the credentials and it was a lazy and quick choice which is now gonna cost them 2.5 million in compensation to buy out the 33 months left on his deal - what a terrible waste of money!

Not feeling gutted this morning cos just totally used to being let down by england, Lampard was pony last night, Gerrard ran out of steam, Joe Cole couldn't beat his man, Bridge was truly woeful and Lescott was out of his depth! As for Carson - thanks but no thanks, clearly wasn't ready, not his fault tho, another panic move by a clueless manager!

Well im never happy to see an england manager quit or get sacked but this is the normal way things should go, every other country gets rid of their manager if they don't perform so for once the FA has done the right thing.

Thing is now, who will replace him?

Its about time, he should have done the right thing and resigned after the game (absolute coward IMO).

If he had resigned he wouldn't be getting the 2.5 mil pay off would he, so not so much of a coward is he?

Well after watching the game in the pub inside waterloo train satation, I woke up with a little hangover this morning.
So I popped over to greggs to get me a sausage roll and tomato soup combo, along with a sausage bap and bacon bap.
Feel much better now.

before sven came he was hailed as a great manager, then he turned crap, at man city his worked wonders, then maclaren, always thought he was pretty good at middlesbrough, i mean look at them now. so surely we should see some sort of pattern. the FA needs to take the blame, its their setup plus they've done nothing about the ridiculous wages the players get paid, how do you motivate blokes that have got that much cash, especially when they arent patriotic. some things to try -

players dont get paid per game, just a lump sum if they win a tournament which is then shared out between everyone that played on a percentage basis

managers are only given contracts till they win, or get knocked out the next tournament, then its up to them to renew, but no major compensation payouts

have national try-outs for the england team, cause i've seen more passion in a league 5-a-side game than in the last 5 years of international football
