Only saw the 1st half as I got bored. Very one sided. Didn't have a lot to do defensively but looked comfortable on the ball and as the half went on he got more confident and was bringing the ball out of defence and starting attacks, even used a bit of skill to get himself out of trouble the only time he looked under pressure. I imagine he'll be a regular at that age with Jones if he comes back down. Not sure how old Smalling is so might lose his spot to him.

Also the under 21's have a friendly against Israel on Monday. That game is also on ESPN. Not sure if he'll start as Pearce might try out some of the other players in his squad.

I remember you saying the swans wanted townsend on loan, did think he wasn't ready for the premiership yet or didn't we want to get rid

Told we wouldn't let him go but at the time I think he wanted to go back to millwall

Apparently Caulker was immense against Arsenal today, including a goal-line saving clearance. They lost 1-0 but that was from a freakish error from the keeper and they missed a fair few chances by the sound of it. They all love Caulker already.

I watched the match. Just to see how our boy was doing.

As you've posted IOMLS Caulker did make a goal-line saving clearance.
He had an all round superb game as did Swansea.

They were unlucky to lose.
Had Vorn not made that mistake I think the result would of been a draw.

Certainly Swansea played the better more attacking football particulariy Dyer and Sinclair.

For me Dyer is a good player, he can dribble play neat one two's and has good movement.

Works hard and get's in to good positions to intercept opposition play at times.

If we were to in the future sell GDS and Pienaar he'd be worth bringing in given his age and ability.

I have been thinking that as well bit early to tell, but couldn't be the worst player to bring in. Sinclair is obviously something special which I feel a lot of top clubs will be in the hunt for.

Sinclair mainly plays as a wide forward coming from the left.

He wouldn't be a bad shout. He has the pace to cause problems for defenders.

I just wonder how many goals or assists he'd score.

I think we have a player not to dissimilar in Andros Townsend who for me has more potential than Sinclair.

'Centre-back Steven Caulker was an impenetrable rock in the heart of Swansea’s defensive line, making 3 interceptions, 7 tackles, 6 clearances and 2 blocks – way above any other player on the pitch in defensive attempts.'

From an Arsenal fan's blog.

What a player we have on our hands here.

I'd be quite happy for him to come back and feature next season.

A season in the premiership with a team who plays the good football will be good for his progress.

We do not yet know if Gallas and/or King will be here next season.

I expect at least one to be here.

A Quatret of Kaboul,Dawson,Caulker,King/Gallas.

Good times.

Look at it this way, Caulker if fit would of played more premiership and cup football than say Chris Smalling.

Interesting, most fans on the swansea website seem to think of sure in the same way we think of Lennon, in that if his final ball was better he'd be amazing but his crossing and finishing isn't that good.

Absolutely outstanding against Arsenal, he's gonna be a great player. Immense in the air. The only thing he needs to improve on is his distribution, but with the way the swans play I think it will improve a lot over the season.

First time I've been to the emirates - have to say amazing stadium but the arsenal fans are pathetic - no banter, no singing! Worst atmosphere I've been to. Particularly loved chanting some Tottenham songs to them!
