Harry says that he thinks Adebayor 'will probably happen'.

But then again, his ITK track-record is surprisingly disappointing.

12 noon I think.

Storts possibly hinted yesterday that they'd be announced subject to medical to get them through in time for that.

I'm wagering my ST on something being announced today. They will be NO press conference though

Im speakin to my source at the club at about 10am will post if there is any news on adebayor or diarra And was told the medicals for loan signings are slightly differnt to normal and alot quicker if the club want them to be so deal/deals could be done by 12 in time for utd but even if they are both players hvnt had a pre season so will both prob start on the bench.....

Anyway Archie's info sounds extremely plausibile and yet still positive.

To be fair i was told they were arranging a press conference today for 11am by my source then he called me bk and said someone in the press office said that had all been put on hold coz the deal hit a snag wit the paper work? So obviously it wasnt cancelled it was just never all in place they were settin it all up then the deal hit a snag so thats why the press wernt informed? Im only tellin you the info i got guys didnt wana cause confusion or bad vibes. And im gettin verified as we speak and for the percentages thing my bad i only wrote what he told me maybe should of just said but there is still a small chance deal could be done by 11am and new press conference set up! sorry my bad.

"From what I can gather I think we're trying to do the deal. It looks like he's [Adebayor] going to come in and replace Robbie Keane, and it would strengthen our squad if it's able to be done."

You'd have thought.


Although If I were to guess, I'd say that it's probably not City delaying the deal, but some sort of formatting of the paper work.

Tbh that was the info i gave in my ITK last nite It was a paper work problem with the league and how the deal was structured.

Ok guys just got off the phone to my ITK and its gd and bad news!! The reason adebayor was thought to all be done was because tottenham and city thought they had agreed a loan fee and how much each club pays his wages But when they both faxed the copys of the paper work to the prem league/ or eachother he didnt know which? The amounts of wages and loan fees were different :s it seems both teams thought they agreed different deals? So both clubs are now tying to agree the deal again! And not make a mistake this time! It seems both parties want this done by monday at the latest!! By all accounts have been workin on it since very early this mornin!! Hopein to get it done today!! And if he does he will let me know as soon as he does Now diarra deal is ment to be all nearly done he was told wilson was ment to be gone by now? Thats y the deal aint gone through yet? And he has been told diarra will be at the man u game

It seems he was told the reason the thought they had agreed diff deals is because DL is in america they are dealing with another group of board member over here and man city have a few diff people in there camp tryin to get the deal done (didnt say how many!) and they seemd to get there numbers mixed up coz of so many people involved with deal!! They said they are now all together in a meeting face to face tryin to agree a deal and it is only a matter of time before it is done Sorry about being so sketchy it was the reason he was told deal didnt go through this Morning! No I'm serious. I've sat on conference calls and afterwards the team have sat down and we've all agreed the approach we're going to take, what was agreed etc. etc. Only for the other side to come back and say XYZ when were totally thinking ABC.

The devil is in the detail, as they say, but people coming away from calls thinking one thing has been agreed and the other side thinking another is not uncommon at all.

Well a passed Diarra done two weeks ago, and Wilson was always the hold up, but he's been agreed for ages now.

Makes sense on the ade stuff.

Apologies for my lack of activity last night, was up up in sunny Scotland for last nights match. Met someone VERY interesting there, but that's for another time!

All the formalities and financial WERE completed yesterday, for both Ade and Lass. I was also informed that it would be announced yesterday. It's all gone through, we're just waiting on FA approval. Due to time constraints the paperwork was completed subject to medical, which they should both pass anyway. Since the paperwork has been submitted to the FA in time, then if both are fit they will be ready for the game on Monday night.

The ball is firmly in FA's court now...

Than why don't we announce it subject to medical ?

well i was told late last night that Ade was done, so one way or the other, its pretty much there...

My source has just got out his meetin and he says it was about players we are still looking at at where the scouts are goin this weekend wouldnt say who just said we are now sorted in all postitions apart from cb, and cm, and they will be the players scouted this weekend so he said he was told striker ( adebayor) and defenceive mid (diarra) deals are done now! Waiting for people to dot the i's and cross the t's were his exact words! and about the phone thing he said his other collegues got asked to turn there phones off to?? And that is normal for when he goes into these meeting? So dunno why people are sayin otherwise? Every senior meetin i go to nowdays peope get asked the same thing so surely this is same everywhere???

I was only saying wat he said. And tbh it sounded like that to me as well!!! I thought he ment as soon as he went through the barriers he got asked? I’ve not posted anything because things have not really changed. I have been stalking the site and reading some of the stuff though.

I was at Villa Monday watching a SkySportsNews waiting to see if there was any truth in the Keane to LA rumours. People there couldn’t even be bothered to ring agent to see if any truth. Disappointed in his agent- he was pushing a deal and a courtesy call would have been nice. Nobody had a clue LA was on the cards and if it was then it was well hidden.



Villa have not been back with an individual bid for Hutton and WILL NOT go back. Unless Tottenham call first the deal is off.

I just heard that Mauro Zarate was left out of the lazio team last nite? Surely he wernt the special player that agent was on about? Or even the ITK with 3 diff languages?

Re; McLeish . How can they let Friedel, Reo-Coker, Carew etc (over 10 players in total) go. Sell Young and Downing for around £40million and still have to reduce the wage bill. The players they let go were the biggest earners. Go check out the squad list.

my maths is not the greatest but losing 5 top earners, who were on a minimum of £30k saves around £10million a year. then the others who went and the money for the transfer money.

As we missed deadline for monday club see no point in rushing to paying adebayors 80k a week so DL can save abit of cash on the deal!!!!! Plus We wana wait till sunday/monday to announce deal As still gives us a few days to get rid of fringe players!!!! And cut the squad down abit!! So clubs dont think they can get players on the cheap coz they kno we deffo have to sell now!! And on diarra He was told it was done then he got told no The players wages not agreed and then that was agree but he said now real hoping for a higher fee again? So contrasting info coming out of people at club?? He belives that it is done they just wana anounce both after the weekend! He also heard maybe pav mite be leavin next week abroad somewhere? Ok if you want my say on Adebayor.

IF it goes through and I am wrong, which I will hold my hands up to if wrong, I don’t believe the deal being reported is viable. Some of the other info that has been given on here about medicals, registrations etc are complete fabrication because through personal experience I know about how medicals work and what a club needs to do to hold your registration. How can a deal go through at least without the independent part of a medical?? How would the insurance on that work??

I have never said harry wouldn’t be interested in him. Like I never said he wasn’t interested in Rossi etc. or they never put a bid in. the only player I have said categorically that were not interested in was Vucinic and how did that turn out? and i’m not saying that they aren’t talking to man city or adebayor. BUT no one believes the deal will go through. Harry doesn’t, Adebayor still thinks Madrid will come in for him, from other RUMOURS i’ve heard, i’ve got a feeling a bid from Italy might be in soon. And can you tell me that if another European Club in say Italy came in Man City wouldn’t try to push him there instead; no matter how far along the supposeddeal is. It’s all posturing on all sides.

Take all that into consideration and IF a deal is on then there is no way it would be announced today, tomorrow or in the next few days. At best it would be a deadline deal for man city just in case something came in. What have they got to lose?

Now i know i mixing opinion and fact but we haven’t got long now to see who is right.

Selling Pav and keeping Crouch makes a lot of sense. What ever people think of Crouch, personally I have no major problem, he's an ackward bugger and a good option to bring on.

No news really up here about Adebayor. Most still doubt it. Time for some gloating on Monday if it comes off.
