Got told almost the same as mystery last night.....Vucinic deal was agreed in principle and we have now put in an official bid....soon as roma's deal for bojan is annouced we should see rapid movement. There is interest from other clubs so we are working on getting it done asap..

In regards to Vucinic I think it's best to direct questions to Corluka Modric & Mystery.

I believe he has called it first and been spot on regarding any developments.

POTL just seems to clarify or reword what CorlukaModrics & Mystery all ready posted about the possible transfer.

I have been critical of CorlukaModrics ITK in the past but to be fair he has posted ITK which backs up mine.

So I know his source is tight.

There was a guy on COYS last night who met the players and staff in SA yesterday, showed the photos to prove it too, Spoke to Harry and asked him about Adebayor and Vucinic, He said Harry smiled at him and said we are working on things. He also asked Modric about Vucinic and he said he'd have no problems with him as they speak the same language.

Take this as you will, it has no way come from my source and I'm NOT saying this is true, but a fellow yid has text me saying he heard Vucinic is flying to London on sunday.

So you may recall I posted a while ago that I'd been invited to a dinner at Investec to meet the team... well just came back.

Evening was great fun - players were hanging about playing pool, basketball, table tennis... Got photos with everyone (new Investec shirt with "COYS" on the back and "9")

In brief:
1) Harry, Joe, Kevin and the coaching team are fantastic, t'riffic guys. Very friendly, very open to having photos taken.
2) Rafa and Bale werent all that friendly/approachable - had a kind of bewildered look amongst them. Aaron Lennon also a little
3) Kaboul and Bassong are good mates and hang around.
4) Daws is an awesome guy. Very friendly. Same with JJ
5) Benny was awesome! He sat in the corner alone listening to music. Didnt want to interact with the guys at all... but when I had a chat with him he was very eager to chat. Very down to earth. Said he's just bought an Audi A1.
6) Asked Modders if Vucinic being Montegran was a problem. He said "No problem, is good player, speak same language". Also asked Niko if he's chatted to his dad about Vucinic - he said he hadn't.
7) The Kyles were very cool. Asked Kyle Walker about Tarabt. He said he was increidbly talented and a nice guy off the pitch but doesnt speak much English. Said he was def staying at Spurs.
8) Asked Harry about Vucinic and Adebayor - didnt give anything away just a smile and said we were working on things.
9) Gary Mabbut is an absolute gent... Spoke at length with him. Asked him for some inside tips - he said the only time you can know a player has signed is when hes wearing the shirt.
10) Asked Stevie P about the Kaboul nutmeg - he laughed and told me to be quite cause Kaboul would hit him

We then ahd a question answer session with Harry, Stevie P and Bongani Khumalo... Asked Harry about the younger lads coming through - Harry Kane, Bostock, Coulibayle etc. Harry said the major problem is attitude. The youngsters think that because they've signed for Spurs they've made it. He said a couple ofthe lads have the potential but really need to get down and work hard. Harry hates football agents!!! Said we took a gamble on Coulibayle but "the lad has talent and we hope he'll make it".

Someone asked about strikers... If Adebayor was realistic. He said Man City are def gonna have to offload players. Adebayor was one we were looking at. Specifically also mentioned Bellamy (not that we were looking at him but that he was likely to leave Man City and was a t'riffic player). Also said cant blame the strikers for last season - he said the wide players have to pitch in with goals too...

All in all was incredible incredible evening - got a smile on my face from ear to ear

Just heard from a friend who works at the club.

There are 4 bids in for 4 players 3 at £20m and 1 for £35m the club is confident that all 4 deals will be done. All he would tell me was that ONE PLAYER IS UK BASED. He said I would be delighted if all goes through. he will pass more info when he has it.

I was never confident, but I'm getting massive Rossi vibes today...

No he works very close to the action. Can't say much more without outing him.

His information has always been spot on in the past. I will be seeing him at the weekend and hope to get something more concrete.

There are some guys reporting that this years Bayern, that being Juventus, are in for Vucinic, having already had an offer accepted by Roma and talks ongoing today with the player. They also hope to finalise the Rossi deal on Monday. Going with a front 3 attack.

Just as a minor point for everyone's sanity - this deal has been held up not because of Levy's dallying (he hasn't been); Roma were listening to offers but didn't want to confirm until they knew they were getting Bojan. Thats what I done heard anyway.

Generally, don't we try and get a feel as to whether we can get the player to sign before we get a fee fully agreed, i.e. negotiate with Roma and the player at the same time?

Can I suggest ryan that they won't. Werder are under strict economic restrictions from their board. They need money to purchase more players. And while they need to cut down on the wage bill, Frings going to Toronto gave them quite a bit of cushion. Selling Marin on the last day of the window does them absolutely no favors. So if that's what Harry is thinking, this will fail.
