I'm not sure all of this will make sense with all the cryptic chit chat but I've done my best...

1. I done a cryptic because I knew it would annoy my bosses son.

2. I thought it was simple enough really. Confirmation didn't really change anything

3. My bosses son is 37

I'm no doubt a bit slow but why is it Marin?

Multiple colored sweets = M&M's

M&M's = marko marin

Probably load of rubbish but this in the mirror today:

They are close to selling Spain Under-20 midfielder Oriol Romeu to Chelsea in a deal that gives them the option to bring him "home" again in two years' time and are also considering selling £4m-rated winger Ibrahim Affelay to Tottenham after they made an approach.

Don't know if that stance has changed, but I doubt it.

Ancelotti is ready and available if necessary".

If this were the case re.Harry and Levy on 'M'. Then surely Harry would of known better than to say what he did yesterday, surely Levy would have told him before yesterday to keep it quiet re.'M' to the press. At the end of the day we don't know what is being said between Levy and HR behind the scenes. My point would be, listening to the way HR is speaking, I'm of the opinion that there is a slight admittance at the club that 'M' will go

Talk of "funds" is ridiculous. If there is a bargain (as Marin could be) then we will have enough money for whatever we want to do. If Levy knew we could get £100m worth of players in, knowing that they would be worth £150m in a years time, then we'd be able to do that and any other business we wanted to. There is basically no ceiling, we're just trying to make good business.

The info is true except I don't think Daniel is really buying multicoloured sweets.

Basically, we are keeping abreast of a very good opportunity should it arise

Italian journalist Max Evangelista's just been on talksport talking about Vucinic to spurs. Apparently no fee has as yet been agreed, we've offer £13.5mil, Roma want the think end of £17mil.

Someones telling porkies, or has been fed porkies.

That's consistent with what we've heard...

Probably not worth Goating it if it's in the press.

Red and Green

No you silly ****s their my favourite colour M&M's.

I've already said Red and Green are my favourite colour M&M's. That's it. My favourite colour M&M's. Nothing else. Just.That.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me

Another ITK on tottenhamhotspurs.tv has said Khumalo is going to Reading on loan.

This is correct and congratulations for being the one poster to take it as read.

Just to clarify, Red and Green is not ITK and is not cryptic. It was The Goat's (poor) way of waking you all up. The Goat should have known better

Forget Red & Green, it means nothing.

Its Robben.
We are after him and Bat Man and Robben. Robben is in Germany playing for Bayern

Type in what does Gomez mean into Google and you have the answer. It is Mario Gomez.

Stunned if Bayern would sell.

Most of the ITK that was posted was quite clear, Vucinic not as close as some are saying, Adebayor even further away and Marin not looking likely either.

With the cryptic bits, it's more about letting people know something is going on without being able to say who it's about. We can either say nothing or hint at stuff which keeps people talking without risking any sources.

If people would prefer an "absolutely no cryptics" policy then that's cool with us but would also mean we'd sit on a lot of stuff that wouldn't see the light of day...?

I think the way we have it now is probably favourable to most people but happy to be corrected.

Has anyone mentioned Mario MANdzukic of Wolfsburg & Croatia? We've definitely been linked with him in previous windows. Can't say I know enough about him to say he'd be a target for us now though.

But the majority of the ones posted by The Goat haven't been solved...

That was kind of the point in them, rather than to pst something that could be guessed in 10 mins.

Nice to see the goat likes me!

Have we solve anything else?

What's the dilio?

The red and green really wasn't part of any of the ITK.

The sweet stuff was directly referring to Ryan's Marin ITK and wasn't meant to be cryptic.

Rob can you at confirm if anyone's guessed it yet. If not can you give us another clue ?

I've been out so not read the whole thread but I've not seen the correct name mentioned. I could have missed it though. Also generally it's probably best we don't narrow it down as ruling out loads of names make it far easier :p

Exactly and also the fact that we're in talks with someone.

Like I said, people generally seem to like getting the cryptic stuff compared to us not posting anything at all and at least it keeps this thread vaguely on topic.

wasnt there alot of talk of bentley going to atletico madrid? send him there as a direct swap for forlan (although for some reason, the people seem to think he could go on a free?)

Bents won't be going there.

Ever

My friends tells me 2 from RM.
and then see my sig...
but if we sign Robben that will be top notch indeed.
However Podolski has been mentioned by Freund.
Forlan is a goer too

apparently ozil has taken diarra's squad number in madrid.

5mil bid for who?
I think its Shane Long he's talking about, Dunno where he heard that but i havent seen anything about it anywhere

Just posted some ITK in the RO, now will be away for the day. Interesting to see how others react to my info, I think POTL has been keeping this one close to his chest personally. We shall see.

Two new bits of ITK approved

Thanks for that. I seem to remember some talk about our interest in him earlier last month - obviously we have gone back again. Could this mean that we have missed our prime targets and are moving down the list? His stats are not exactly electrifying.

No, I think he is and always has been a major target.

Palermo have offered him a new contract though. Currently he's only there til 2013 so wouldn't be TOO expensive.

Would be absolutely chuffed if we managed to get A.Hernandez, especially if the price is fair (under 15m)

I think the holdup on vucinic is Hernandez personally. I'm still yet to hear anything about vuci but have been told Abel is a main target!

Now I really am going

Sorry Rebrab, are you saying you have not ever heard anything linking us with V.

or that you haven't heard anything regarding how close it is?

I don't recall ever hearing anything about him. But I don't hear about every deal like some - just because I haven't heard about it doesn't mean its not happening.

We have been tagged about Benzema and others from RM.
I can confirm from a very reliable source. We do have a good understanding with them.
I think we can expect AT LEAST 1 player from RM IF all goes well.
I can also tell you that both Liverpool and Arsenal are looking into the RM squad.
Players like Kaka, Alonso, Benzema, Huguian, Diarra, Gago...
They were expecting a bid for Kaka from Chelsea...it hasn't materialized :)
I informed the mods of Ade a few days before it was picked up.
I also have it now that we may be in for Forlan on a cheap.
Im told we expect 2 strikers to go hopefully before the end of the month (probably Crouch and Keane), Hutton, Gio and Everton are looking at Krankie and another midfielder.
A.Villa looking into some midfielder and Hutton too.
Goint to a wedding and will see you all later...
Exciting times ahead specially if Chelsea don't pull the Modric deal!!!

yes shane long, from what ive heard theyve had 4 bids in for him including 5mil from us

Spoke to friend today, back from SA this morning.

Two players said their goodbyes and won't be at training tomorrow. Hutton and Wilson off this week it seems, Wilson supposedly not sure still on uprooting family maybe a London club could have him. No new news on incomings although expected, lots of rumour and gossip though, and most of it stated on here. Hernandez never been mentioned, but how many players actually really know!

Supposedly, moral is high with key/main players and Modric as professional as ever. Few players speaking about the interest in football in SA was bigger than expected, learnt a lot, and some moved by the kids/schools they saw, stories they heard.

Not ITK exactly, but seems stuff is happening from now.

Manic Monday, Triffic Tuesday, Wonder Wendesday..... Who knows!!!

we had a bid at tstart of summer if not before. is it a co incidence that rumours of abel are coming just as uruguay and copa america is just about to finish up soon?

in realtion to rest of itk is it hutton and wilson u meant are off or another 2 players?

That's the only two seem offered and agreed it seems

There is interest in Keane as has been stated on here, just whose going pay him £60k plus bonuses.

Remember hes still doing it for Ireland, I'm damned if someone doesn't take him, even a Swansea? He'd do well were he'd be the main man.

I think we have plenty of 'open' opportunities to pick and choose from now.
Man City has bought the striker they wanted - Aguero
Man U not really needing a striker but do want to offload Berba, perhaps a young 'fox in the box' player.
Chelsea looking at targets such as Hulk.
We may have green lights for Benzema (Arsenal/Liverpool), Rossi (Italy...), Llorente, Adebayor (thinks Mourinho likes him but i think they want Neymar), Falcao, Forlan, Sturridge (If CFC succeeds in Modric deal)...

Yep they've landed and one of my muggy chelsea ex colleague mates has been trying to tap him up at the airport...

I think it is fairly safe to say that we have not agreed to any deal with Roma over Vucinic. Their Sporting Director, Walter Sabatini, just made a series of statements and re-iterated that he really wants to Mirko to stay, though he still may be sold.

Looking around at Italian press reports today, it seems Juventus is being very strongly linked to Vucinic (even more so than before), now that their deal for Rossi has stalled. United is also being linked in the Italian press (before people dismiss this, remember that Vucinic can play on the left for them).

Tuttosport, which is based in Turin and covers Juventus closely, has just released an article that says that Juventus and Conte, in particular, are now making Vucinic the priority over Rossi due to transfer price.

Here is the article: http://www.tuttosport.com/calcio/calciomercato/2011/07/24-136672/Juve+tra+Rossi+e+Vucinic+ma+il+montenegrino+%C3%A8+in+pole

Obviously, nothing is certain, but the article above seems to claim that no bids have come in for Vucinic yet, including from us, which would be interesting if true. The article also claims that: "Conte wants Vucinic, Vucinic wants Juve." Take it with a grain of salt, just like with all media reports, though.

Archibald on SO (via COYS) re Adebayor...

talks ongoing its all about postering

I think he means posturing

Sorry if repost but Les has confirmed we are after 1 or 2 strikers this window

http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/9244/6/exclusive-ferdinand-expects-successful-striker-search-spurs?

So I guess if we get 2 stickers that would mean 3 out

The quote from Archibald is off

this is what he said

"Its all posturing! talks ongoing"

Peanut on COYS re Modric...

United made an enquiry early in the summer.

Gill and Alexander both know Levy well enough not to bother when he is this adamant.

Linked to Llorente by Caught Offside

Great news

Shit source

Can anyone link Barrios into the new cryptic? I cant but think he'd be a perfectly good and possible target

Vucinic deal has stalled. We have agreed a fee! However...Roma want the cash upfront and we are offering in installments

The Journo update at 12....

For the last week I have been providing “Bill_Oddie” with information and thought it was about time that I came on to the forum and affirmed the facts myself. Firstly I would like to apologise to other sources as my second post apparently offended some as it contradicted what they have said. Secondly I would like to state that my principal information centres around Midlands clubs, but my principal source has very good, strong links with Tottenham, as “Bill_Oddie” knows. Finally, I have been involved in football myself and will offer more considered opinions if asked. I will always state what is fact and opinion. A lot of this information, I am lead to believe, may have already been provided to you throughout the week, in different forms.

Tottenham will NOT sign Berbatov, Rossi, Adebayor, Mata, Eto’o, Augero or Benzema.

Vucinic would be a complete change of direction because Tottenham, along with other clubs, have been and are scouting GERMANY. Like I said LAST Monday it is not even a starter in my opinion.

Huntelaar and Farfan have both been identified by Tottenham as targets, who ARE willing to spend up to 45 million Euros.

Scott Parker was NOT a target until Sandro injury and still any interest is minimal.

Jack Rodwell was scouted by Tottenham during the summer but interest has disappeared.

Afellay is a loan target; things might change now the media have picked up on it and they may look to sell. Along with German link; I was the first person to report this while the moderators where verifying my information.

The Robben link would suggest that the media has picked up my German link; but Robben is a bit farfetched. Can’t see Robben deal myself but 2/3 German based players is still very much on.

I also have heard some RUMOURS coming from Germany about Holger Badstuber, Thomas Muller and Toni Kroos and should know the validity of them more on Wednesday. At this stage they are only RUMOURS and I do not know which clubs are involved.

Through my Villa connections, which are stronger than any other, I know that they WILL be bidding for 2 possibly 3 Tottenham players and that the Downing money could be with Tottenham as early as Wednesday. Hutton and Jenas wanted; RUMOUR is Crouch is third. They are working on Alex McLeish’s say so but he will not be directly involved in the transfers

No interest in Gary Cahill from ANY club. Bolton WANT to sell and Villa will be richer if they do.

When asked about Modric earlier in the week I commented that I have no information but OPINION is he will go.

When asked about Marin; it’s not something I have heard but it would not be a surprise because of how strongly we feel about deals in Germany but my source did say after consulting him that any transfer involving Marin would be vulnerable for different reasons.

I did notice on one of you blogs that one of your posters had suggested that Tottenham are preparing to spend £20 million on three players and £35 million on another. I don’t know about the pricing but I WOULD NOT argue about the spend being upwards of £60 million on 4 players.

If you have any questions about any of the above please don’t hesitate to ask and I will elaborate more where I can, but be in no doubt GERMANY is where the deals will come from. I am sure “Bill_Oddie” will acknowledge that this information was passed to him, by me, before the media outlets had picked up on it and I have been annoying him about GERMANY before the rumours occurred. I have not changed my stance on this information since I posted it and will stand by this from now until the window closes. Expect every club in the Premier League to spend bigger than ever; as agents and scouts are looking to cash in this window more than most.

Cheers Journo

certainly makes sense what you say regarding Germany.

As you may know, we have disagreements regarding some potential signings. I think that this highlights to me that there are certainly still divisions within the camp regarding Transfers.
From Harrys point of view, we nearly signed Parker at least twice and I know he thinks Levy is doing as much as he can to secure Rossi.

@Journo - could you explain how we are contemplating spending €25m on Huntelaar when his peak transfer so far was €18m, his last transfer to Schalke was €12m and he hasn't had a great season that would lead his value to increase. Throw into the pot the fact that we have the savviest Chairman and it just doesn't add up.

he is certainly exciting and young though.

I was told that the plans for the window were to sign 1 Uber striker and 2 exciting young strikers.

he fits the mould

thanks to Journo, have an issue with the prices though, as one poster said, huntelaar's value would have decreased since he joined schalke, farfan is also way overpriced - imo the bundesliga is an excellent market with good value, wouldnt have a problem with us looking there...

why spend 25 mil on huntelaar when we could get vucinic or adebayor for that, even with ade's high wages there was a suggestion we could pay a lump sum to cover the difference

@journo....why the fasination with the bundesliga?????, cant think of anyone who's come here and done well??????????????

Just backing up this was the case and the first place we saw Affelay mentioned was from The Journalist as well.

I apologise for the different fonts in the last post I am still getting use to the system.

Regarding 25 million Euros for Huntelaar; that equates to roughly £22million. That could include add on’s etc and may come down to £18million or something etc. I don’t claim to know how the deal will be set up and I grant it is unusual that a figure has been stated. But remember that a deal would include Farfan up to 45 million Euros as well, who will be harder to get.

Regarding “RyanTegan,” your reply suggested that your source is close to Harry Redknapp. That interests me because it may suggest there are “still divisions,” as you put it, in the mind of individuals.

The Fascination with the German League is that my source has said that’s where deals are being done. He has explained to me something about a “cycle” that scouts and agents are working to.

I know I am the newbie of the site, but my information on Afellay and Germany and even Gary Cahill, which I sent last MONDAY, have all been acknowledged by other media outlets SUBSEQUENT TO me sending them.

I am trying to answer all posts, please just bear with.

People complaining about the prices need to realise we believe this will be a massive window. People are worried about the new Uefa rule and subsequent rules that may follow. Even if teams find ways around them do you think Uefa will stop at that. Agents and others fear it could be the last time they will see such payouts, especially Agents.
I know you are loyal fans but I think many of your views are too blinkered. Yes; Harry Rednapp would like a lot of the players you have listed but he would also like Messi and Ronaldo.
He would probably want to pay £15million for Huntelaar or better yet £5million. Was Stuart Downing worth £20 million; was Jordan Henderson worth his fee?

As i stated earlier; another blogger i see had posted that Tottenham will spend £20million on 3 players and £35 on another. I don’t know about individual prices but I can see that.

If it was a case of paying over the odds or getting left behind what would you do?

This WILL definitely be the most inflated window yet. How much have Liverpool spent already? And the price you read about won’t have included the massive amount spent on agents .

Regarding me conflicting with what others have said; I gave the Afellay link before anyone else. If you ask the moderator about messages about Germany that I sent and WHEN.

I sort of got reprimanded for saying what i thought about the links with certain players from other posts and the moderator edited my follow up post. BUT time will tell, who is correct when we see who Tottenham sign.

i am not sure on the Marin link. The first I heard about this link was when the Moderator asked me. I then contacted my source because this was the most viable thing I had heard. He said it sounded right but said that any deal with Marin would be vulnerable. Why? Because lots of teams have enquired but the general consensus is that Werder are likely to change there mind constantly and Marin would have a lot of adapting to do if he moved outside of Germany.

StartingPrice
Just because all the other sources are saying deals are being done with Rossi and Adebayor doesn’t mean they are. From what I have read, you should already have signed 4 strikers as deals have been agreed. But where are they? Time will tell and I will not change the goalposts. I don’t know how well they have done previously.
Harry Rednapp has also said if I am right; that the Adebayor deal would only ever be a loan deal. And Man City have also stated that they are not prepared to loan him again. Which sort of deals with that anyway. I believe he is appeasing the fans while the real deals are being sorted. Rossi is a no goer.
I think many are believing what they want to believe and are being told what they want to hear. And i have not given times on when a player is going to sign for Tottenham. I would for Villa which is why I expect bids for 2/3 Tottenham players by wednesday.

But only time will who is correct.

Agents. Which is why I have trouble believing it's accurate

Or at least not complete

maybe agents!

Its obvious anyway given the way the Journo talks a lot about making money this window and most agents seeing this as a big opportunity before new rules and regs come in...

No not agents. Close and to be fair their roles do sometimes overlap especially since agents have had more power.

I can tell you Modric will not be sold this window, as reiterated previously it's now a matter of pride for Levy - he has a 6 year contract and will not be sold...Matter closed. So all this talk of Sturridge in part exchange is a non-starter. Btw Levy is not in England - working from abroad.

Please remember this:

Potl
Quote:

Nope. Hutton is Bound there.

Get ready for it to kick off from Monday next week when the squad return from SA.

Cockeral; my Peronsal opinion is that Modric will go. its just peronsal opinion but i can see Chelsea putting in a bid on c£40million. And with how predictions about the market are it might be the last time you recieve that offer. But it will not include sturridge. Chelsea also interested in a Dortmund defender; big money spent there too.

i dont know who POLT is but i would agree that Hutton is villa bound if he accepts contract; going to be offered 4 year deal, matching current wages. Jenas might get a bung depending how much he is on; shorter contract than hutton. Crouch strong possibilty.

That may be opinion - but mine is not based on opinion.

Anyone regard Jacob on COYS ITK?

"Haha I've NEVER read SO much NONSENSE"

Regarding this evenings ITK, I think Jacob has been ITK in the past, perhaps one of the mods can verify that.

Re Journo's info

Checked the ITK log and Jacob is not on the list but I'm sure he is held in good regard on COYS as ITK, Its not the first time I've seen him involved in ITK.

As I posted earlier, Huttons done, and good as gone. Said goodbyes to a few people. Doubtful for training tomorrow.

@Journo - It is interesting to hear the difference compared to what say some people close to management/staff or players is different to what you have heard.

It makes for an interesting few weeks I guess.

Has a solid record on COYS iirc (though doesn't post info too often)

Got shirt info spot on before too

Akqayid

i think some people are mis-interpreting where my information is coming from. Rest assure it is not an agent. I made sure I got assurances from the website owner before giving details of who my source is to the moderator. I wanted assurances that would stand up because my source has worked closely with someone at Tottenham.
