The Leandro scores against Barca update.....

According again to BBC gossip we are in for Afellay for £4m and Alvaro Negredo from Seville for £18m.

I can't believe that Afellay is that cheap. Here's hoping:grin:

The best news I've read today is from the Sun (I know, but I'm willing to believe anything at the mo. I'M THAT DESPERATE!!!) We have put a £9m price on Crouchie's head.

I have posted this in the appropriate forum but it is awaiting moderation.

Villa have booked BMI Medical Centre for Wednesday. N’Zogbia expected but they have booked it all day which suggests others will take place. Also have conference room booked at Belfry to entertain guests.
Hutton, Jenas and Crouch definitely wanted. Combined bid is only just over £15million. Bid has not been accepted, negotiations ongoing, but permission given to speak to players. Worried Jenas will be the most unwilling, so will offer him a shorter contract.

I still stick by German based players; Huntelaar, Farfan and German Based Defender/Full Back (name unknown) It’s not Dortmund one; be realistic; Chelsea are in for him. But deals will be done.

BUT confirmed deals being worked on now are from the Spanish league.
·

As I said in my original post; Afellay was originally thought of as a loan deal. But that was before interest was ever made public. Barcelona will listen to offers.

· Lassana Diarra; definitely trying to do a deal. I had heard this as rumour before but now I have it confirmed. Levy negotiating a good deal for both teams. Rumour on price is £10-12million plus add-ons. I don’t know if any of the other sources have mentioned this before, I can’t see it on the “ITK” forum page. Madrid NEVER paid the reported press price so wont be taking a hit.

Rumour; Contact from Spain for Defoe. No bids etc. just contact and just a rumour.

Someone on COYS said this:
We've still got 30 odd days till the window closes, I'm still of the opinion that we'll have a striker or two by the beginning of September.

And then POTL replied with:
I Garuntee it.

POTL

POTL - incorrect spelling of Guarantee? Are we signing Garrido? :O

Montasura

I have not moved on from Germany to Spain. The German deals are very much on BUT I have been told that interest in the Spanish based pair has meant that Tottenham are now focusing on these two players. They will go back to the German deals.

Regarding the FEE for the three. I agree that £15million would be a very good deal for Villa. BUT by giving permission to speak i would suggest its not far off Tottenhams valuation. Expect it to be offered in installlments but we expect that to be declined.
I would suggest that if Villa offer it in cash it could be close to £15million any high and installments.

I can tell you that Villa can not believe that have agreed to sign Nzogbia for less than £10 million and are on a high. I know that Daniel Levy has a reputation for being a mean Negotiator but the new boys at Villa are no mugs.

Rumour in the Modric thread is Lukas at the training ground without his gear on and shaking hands with players and staff

Any news on that @Thejournalist

Been in a meeting, has the ghostofarmo (scout) stuff been posted?

I have NO information on Modric. Opinion of myself and my source is that he WILL go. My source believes this will be the last time you will get a fee of £35-40 million.
That is why Arsenal are willing to sell Fabregas.
My view is that in the end senior players; Van der Vaart especially, will get tired of it.

On a more positive note; it is my sources opinion that Bale could be a Tottenham player for many years. Apparently a real decent normal bloke.

Again I can only maintain from what I was told last week - Modric is staying. Daniel will not sell at any price - it's now a matter pride.

Cockeral

I am not denying he will stay. I have NO information on it and always state that. I was just offering an opinion.

Kdspur

I think i stated last week that Alex McLeish will not be involved in the deals. HE has identified the players but other people are doing them. Thats why Nzogbia fee was agreed Yesterday while he was in Asia. First game is tomorrow, second on saturday and new players should be due for meeting him Monday.

Absolutely appreciate it.

I know the Modric debate is a sensitive topic on here - but when someone who regularly posts ITK offers their opinion, this sometimes gets misconstrued and people mistake it for genuine information, which leads to panic in the cyber forum streets.

I just want to assuage any sense of panic.

I find it ironic that so many people value players not deemed good enough for Tottenham so highly.
I know an initial bid has gone in of over £15million. There will clearly be some negotiating but it cant be that far off and my opinion is it will depend on whether the payment is made in full. And like i said there is a fear that Jenas might refuse. I have heard he will be offered a shorter contract.

Haslemereyid
I know the O'hara deal was closer to £3.5million .
The Roger Johnson deal that was reported to be £7million in the media, i know was only £4million in reality. That shocked me more than the n'zogbia fee.

brewster

I have said before and the moderator knows how strong my Midlands links are. Thats why i can give you where things like the villa medicals will take place and that they have hired the Belfry etc.
I know how much Wolves paid.

There could be many reasons why they have been reported wrong and by who. The strongest in the Johnson case being Birmingham needed the money. I dont know how much Sunderland paid for criag gardener but i bet it wasnt very much.

forget what skysports are saying. whether or not the tottenham 3 have medicals tomorrow is just a suggestion because that have booked the BMI medical center all day. N'zogbia will have medical tomorrow. the deal might be finalised Friday but the medical is definitly tomorrow. Like i say, they cant believe they have sold Downing for £20million and bought in N'zogbia for less than £10million. They wont want to hold out on getting it done.

so can we expect a yellow breaking news ticker coming up soon of a villa triple bid for spurs trio? please say yes journo!

kdspur
that depends on whether the players agree personal terms. then it will go back to the clubs. jenas is the one who they fear is most doubtful. If jenas pulls out it will then take longer because the clubs will have to sort out a price for the two. Surprisingly they seem confident with Crouch.

regarding the steventhfc post

i would forget those prices;
-no interest in bentley
-wolves did enquire about Keane many months back. i dont know what his wages are but the conversation im told didn't last long after they found out.

I know the first bit is true - He wants to stay and fight for his place - Still some way to prove it to management though

bronno

No i dont work for the star. I never knew it had been published but its just known around wolverhampton what the prices were and how deep in trouble Birmingham finances are at the minute.

Apparent Newcastle interest in 3MP could help strengthen our hand re any Villa deal: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3714368/Spurs-demand-9m-for-Crouch.html

I thought Dan was just explaining why he thought Bentley had a different agent. I don't think he was looking for an argument.

are we gonna let him stay now or is he still available for transfer?

Up to the club - If the right offer come in I'm sure they'd sell. But there's never been an offer, interest yes (two years ago) but never an offer and not one now.

That's all I know mate. But he'll, along with a couple of others will fight for their place I'm sure.

The money will go into building a longer term future for the football club

Get the money for ground
build ground
get 60,000 a week through the gates
build revenue
get the marquee players

At the moment, we may get one or two VdV signings from out the blue, we will get one or two kids as for the last 8-9 years and develop and sell at profit. we might get the 1/2 players a step UNDER the so called 'world class' signings we think would come.

But the cold light of day is that the above is pretty much the facts. we'll get the signings but NOT the Ageuros of the world. Wake up if you think that.

As a shareholder, a season ticket holder I want it all. As a mate and friends of people that know, I hear this and that, that builds up my hopes and I pass these on. But in the cold light of day, we're NOT the pull some think and our transfer strategy HAS to be nimble and smart at the moment.

We'll have signings, just have to see how its played out. everyone chill the fuck out.

It's from FTL

If he was sold before August 1st Spurs would have to give Barca a share = €600k

and

Comes from a rich friend in Mexico city, who's very close to the family etc. Sounded very plausible to me.
Five year deal.

Ahh, now this makes some sense - Sevilla's president was making noises about NOT having signed a pre-contract with us (apparently against the rules in Spain) but they might have some kind of gentleman's agreement about the timing.

Noodles - Vucinic

we agreed a fee in principal three weeks ago

I might add that this is not coming across in a positive light.

Right - some news!!!!! Can any other ITK confirm this please or I'm having my plonker pulled

Diarra (sp) is done, or ready to go.

Maybe dependent on Wilson going, same day announcement?

peanut on COYS (re GDS to Sevilla for E6Mil)...

Udinese have offered far, far more than that. Hopefully they will win him round.

Aren't you supposed to post it in there yourself?

After weeks of various people (they know who they are) claiming a signing is about to happen, Friday will be big or so and so has signed a pre-agreement, I might have some exciting (and real) news for you tomorrow.

Apologies for the tone of that comment, but this summer has been a record low for in the know.

I wanna back you about diarra bud because I know he is a player that we have chased for a while. My only reservation is the fact I have been where you are now. But you're right to be optimistic

I can confirm that Diarra was 100% in London yesterday. How I know is that my bro picked him up in Kensington and dropped him At the airport as part of his job. Diarra did not let off his next port of call by the way...

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic's agent claims to have held preliminary discussions with Manchester United regarding a transfer.

Montenegro international Vucinic, 27, has been strongly linked with a move away from Roma this summer after five years in the Italian capital.

Juventus were thought to be favourites to land his signature and Blackburn were also credited with an interest, while Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini admitted earlier this week a departure was almost inevitable.

United now appear to have emerged as surprise contenders to sign the talented forward, with his representative Alessandro Lucci saying contact has been made with the Premier League champions.

Lucci admits a deal is a long way off being agreed as there is not an offer on the table at present, but he is keen to see how things develop.

Meeting

"The meeting with the leaders of Manchester United was yesterday," Lucci told lasignoraingiallorosso.it.

"It has only been a chat, in which no offers have been made nor was there an agreement sorted.

"The English club, however, really like Vucinic, but to see him with the shirt of the Red Devils, there is still work to do."
