This was from the BBC roundup, if it has any legs to it surely levy would see him as the marquee signing everyone's craving for. Shows ambition and ticks all the boxes. It's not just modric he has to show ambition to it's more so the fans

I can't believe more people aren't talking about this as it was backed up by a couple of people.

Daniel Levy, you cost us VERY dearly last season. The chairman's brinkmanship has far too much to answer for of late, going to the wire again is completely out of the fucking question IMO.

Who's to say Villareal won't fuck him around this time and we're left with a big surplus of cash again?!

I asked him if he got in touch with him and his reply was:

MadridSpur: he couldn't/wouldn't say so I didn't press him. His Dad etc are talking to someone but no offer made to VCF yet. That's all he'd say.

Peanut on COYS re this: He never stops working. He's 24/7 all year round, will be on his phone emailing and texting throughout his 'holiday'. DL is allowed a life and a family. His parents live in Florida and he's got kids at school and university who want to see their grandparents.

Levy has a plan to improve the club, don't you worry. Scouting network is a MAJOR part of that, along with youth development, the new training facilities and a new stadium.

there is lots of conflicting - but knowing Levy, he wants whats best for the club so he's doing his best. The info that I believe tends to come from that angle, or otherwise from the people I really trust (ryan, BEN, POTL). Anything else I'm skeptical of unless it fits what I've heard or what I think fits the goals Levy and Harry are trying to achieve.

We will make signings eventually, it is frustrating I know, but they will happen.

Well I'd heard that the Wickham deal was dependent on how we thought Kane was doing. As we didn't sign Wickham, does that mean we think Kane can join the first team at some point in the next couple of seasons?

I tend to agree, it sounds like we know where we want to shop but it's uphill going.

And comments on Leandro were impressed with his strength after first game against Barca. If not his penalty taking. Still very raw. They don't rate him as highly as Internacional are trying to sell him for.

Sorry got no more out of him than this.

He's added that Pav is well liked in the dressing room, and that the club still consider Sandro to be out for 2-3 months.

I was told that we think we can do a deal. People should understand that other teams offer equal or greater pull than ourselves, but in spite of that, Harry at least thinks that Rossi would come.

I honestly beleive that its this deal that has a time limit on it. before any other is continued with.

Just echoing Brownheads sentiments mate, I think the club would have set a deadline with solid dates for both candidates i.e Vuc and Rossi. It's not good for our future to risk it all on 1/2 strikers who are indecisive. Barrios came out of left field though, did not expect that.

I have been loitering on here for a while now, put a few posts on, but mainly loitering. I have a confession to make I was Appy as Arry on COYS, but got banned for saying I didn't like Cryptic ITK there was no slagging off of anyone, just a simple statement :roll: hey ho

Someone can Pm if they like, but i don't intend to post ITK anymore, because of the abuse and snidy comments by people who think we are all wums or they are playing football manager and the world should be simple.

What I wanted to comment on is that people are not placing enough importance to Harry's legal problems. The club is seriousley worried about the outcome and I ask the question " If you were DL would you spunk £25-£30m on a player that a potential new manager might not want?"

If any one is interested I believe we will see some outgoings in the next few days followed by incomings I have supported this club for 48 years and apart from a couple of seasons this is the best position we have been in for that time. Keep the faith and belief.

Harry firstly went to a firm that my mate works at. And he says they considered that he was fucked. There was a simple solution but one that would've cost money. So he went the cheaper option. The bottom line was by not doing that harmed his prospects.

Also consider that Storrie and Milan have their own legal teams working on this. Milan's has actually been working on it long, long before there was any prospect of charges.

We don't know the outcome of the Storrie and Mandaric case, presumably because it's been embargoed until after Harry's. That was certainly the reason given for secrecy of it taking place. I should find out today when the case will take place, as per post in Harry's Court Case thread.

Levy is being very adamant and insistent that our interest in players stays quiet. He is addressing clubs, agents and players. It seems the only one not listening is Harry. Lol
Vdv was a shock for most people, he is relying on that approach again.

Basically if a club says they are speaking to an un-named team, be wary it might be us. If a club says they are speaking to tottenham, they probably are not

I was just offering my opinion in this instance not ITK. The info I get is generally around club internal dealings, so internal player info, stadium stuff etc. I rarely get anything on incoming transfers.

But I am of the opinion that something will happen, Levy is a very shrewd and canny operator - he does do occasionally make mistakes (who doesn't) but it's all in the best interest in the club and he likes to go about the business quietly unlike other chairmen who love to court the media. I can also say that Levy doesn't go around tooting his own trumpet and often sits back to let others take the plaudits (one case in particular).
