Really have to put away teams like Stoke and not give them a sniff. Anyhow great result all about the 3 points and all those other cliches. Danny Rose has some nutrients, he was fantastic.

I think Stoke probably deserved something out of that, but grinding out results like we have is what makes us a top club and just that little bit superior to what we were five plus years ago.

Equal to the Merseyside victims with a game in hand. Only needing about 9 more points to secure top four. Very happy.

Yeah - but I love knowing that it mattered a lot more to them.

The bigger insult is the realization that Arsenal just don't matter right now.
It should matter more to us, tbh - when they were on top they were winning things as well. Until we get to that nirvana of both winning trophies and finishing above them, I don't think we should pretend like finishing above them isn't a thing to be celebrated.

Think it's a bit harsh on Dier.

Difficult game to be introduced to, especially with a few minutes to spare. You've got to be extremely sharp in coming on, not easy to prepare for. Stoke were hurrying and harassing us quite well so I thought Dier was in a bit of a tight spot. That shot though :ROFLMAO:

Great to see Rose back to something approaching his old self today. Really hope he isn't done with us and that we get him back to his best, because he's such a great player to have in your side when he's on it.

Stoke played really well and we beat them anyway. They closed down like mad and broke effectively and fought for everything in precisely the way they have failed to do in our past 3-4 matches against them. But we won anyway.

If Stoke had someone who could finish, they could have won this match. But if Son had got a penalty and finished his one-on-one, we could have been out of sight. Both sides missed chances. We played passably OK for much of the game, without really dominating it, but we even overcame a goalkeeping fuck-up and motivated, desperate opponents and won anyway.

You're a really good side when you have to dig in and you still win.

Reality check.
Win - 2-1 gets you just as many points as 4-0.
Liverpool only managed a draw with Everton, so our win puts us level on points with a game in hand. 3rd place is in our own hands. I'll take that all day long.

It shows we are the better team. That's good for me!

I'm starting to get tired of Lloris. He seems like a nice guy, but he's the most error prone goalkeeper in the league along with Petr Cech. Begovic is close, but after that, no other goalkeeper is even close to do as many errors as Lloris.

Edit: Ye, rate disagree or whatever you want. But the stats are true wheter you like it or not.

Thought the ref was strong in the face of their (fans and players) constant whining.

We made hard work of it but fought well and deserved the win. Dier obviously not suited to coming on as a sub. he was woeful.

I’m happy we won but that was not a good performance. Danny Rose has become average and I wouldn’t be sad if we sold him. Salah didn’t play today and we played Stoke, disappointing that Kane didn’t score, he didn’t get much providence. Lucas should get more game time, every game he’s played he’s been good. Today we could’ve used him, our counter attacks was poor and instead Poch waits and takes on Sissoko and invites pressure. Anyways on the the next game

Could do with both him and Vic getting back up to full speed to give the squad that extra spark.
