And Peter Collins when Chivers was injured. And Keith Osgood and Gerry Armstong and Don McAllister. Even seem to recall Terry Naylor playing up front once or twice but that was pre-window and back in the era of one substitute. i even seem to recall Glenn Hoddle playing up front once or twice.

But mike England actually did play up front in the proper way and so did Laurie Brown.

Despite our horrible shortcomings in the transfer window there's no point of bemoaning our options, we've just got to get on with it now.
Kane can't play all the cup games. Neither can son, assuming he will be playing league games. I would suggest using chadli sparingly in league games, along with n'jie possibly, in order to preserve them for cup games or when Kane and son are injured. Someone suggested Townsend as a striker on the unpopular opinion thread, which I don't think is the worst idea actually.

Townsend lol !

Michu is still available. Worth a punt? Surely as good as any other options we currently have as long as he can stay fit.

I can't be bothered to trawl through but I can imagine it's the same suspects that were happy with the line up on the first day of the season, the same that are happy with the way we have played yet got no points and the same people on here who believe our central midfield and striker options are good enough. Wake up !!!!!! He leaves us short every single window, those of you that are positive about this Spurs team must be happy with mediocrity. Maybe next season eh? Pathetic

He was there yesterday and for the last weeks. Just like Lennon who is still there but won't be playing for us this season.

If so, apologies, I stand corrected. I was looking at twitter yesterday and spurs were responding to a guy who claimed Son had been shifted into the Striker position to pad it out, and the Club said he's been classified as a striker for the last week. Anyway, I don't remember seeing Ade there when I looked yesterday.

Alot of talk about Berbs/Ade or Son/Chadli etc but a question for those of you following the youth (and before you say anything, I know about the thread) do we have any potential stars amongst our ranks that could play as a striker

Edit: not just play as a striker but are a natural striker.

The obivious one is Shaq Coulthirst. He his currently on Loan at Wigan until November 1st. He is 21. So he is at that age where he could come in.

Relax and have a cup of Earl Grey relieves the stress somewhat.

14 of 15 of N'Jie's appearances last season were as a striker according to transfermarkt.

Didnt we get relegated that season!!!!!

Terry Naylor and Don McAllister, you could have chucked in John Pratt too. Cheers, I'm still in rehab over that lot....

Oh, hang on, so we need a striker who's played up on his own. Didn't Berahino play in a two most often? Would he have counted?

Berahino's played as the lone number 9 plenty for WBA who have played 1 up front for a long time, and he's obviously Prem experienced at doing so. The reason he fit the bill so well as a signing is he can play deeper and wide as well, so could play with Kane or instead of Kane.

And N'Jie can't?
