We are in a critical juncture in season where everything could make or break. Kane, Eriksen & Chadli have all scored 7 each in PL and contributed equally. Kane has done brilliantly till now, but with us still staying in all 4 competitions, more fixtures are piling up day by day.
Ade & Soldado have both been utter disappointments this season,for varying reasons. As things stand, we are unable to move them - In short IMO, we are stuck with them till summer.
Its really now down to Pochettino whether he can figure out a solution.Had Soldado been scoring, he could let go Ade on his ways. Sadly, Soldado's form also not getting any better.
It is that time of the year when Adebayor suddenly comes back to life. Adebayor last season played all his 20 games (with exception of Mancity game) in second half of season & scored 11 and assisted 5. People shouldn't forget that he single handedly dragged us out of the mess we were in last season. There was no carrot of new deal. He just wanted to prove that he is good enough.
It is to this trait Poch should appeal for & hopefully motivate him to back to good ways. Lets be honest. If Adebayor can bring his A-game, there are not many PL defenses that can cope with him.
Ade is a complex & a fragile character. Not many of us will blame their own mother of witch craft, but also not many of us would have witnessed a man shot dead in close range. I criticise him for not working hard at times but also love him, when he gets his act together & performs to his abilities.
Pochettino simply has to accept the fact that he cannot rely on Kane till end of season; He either has to get Soldado scoring or somehow bring back the goal hungry Adebayor back on.
If he could do that, we are in for a successful season...If not, our season will go down the drain moment Kane stop scoring or worse get injured..
This is a big test to Poch's man management skills.
