Evra has accused Suarez of using racist slurs during the game yesterday.

Link to Telegraph article

Apparently Evra thinks it will be caught on the cameras as he used a 'certain word' (I guess the N word) several times.

If this is so I wonder what length of suspension would be handed down. As the article says Rooney got 2 games for swearing, but I reckon racial abuse is on a whole different level.

I know I'm biased because we're competing with Liverpool, but if this is proven then I would like to see 6 months. The whole of football is fighting racism and needs to send a message.

Got a feeling even if it is true it won't get picked up on. He is a dislikeable little **** though.

I'm sure Suarez has at least picked up a few choice words since he arrived in January.

Lets be honest its not the first time Evra has accused someone of racism and none of those incidents seemed to have much truth in them.

Innocent until proven guilty for me and with a hint of boy who fried wolf.

Surely thats the exact reason to say it in English? Why would he say it in his native tongue if Evra wouldnt be able to understand it? People dish out comments and abuse to wind their opponent up so if it was said i imagine it would have been in english

Hasn't Evra pulled the 'race card' before? Maybe he just does it to blight the reputation of players he doesn't like or has altercations with...

In the past, he has made 3 claims of racism against him

Amount found guilty: 0

He should be the one with the ban after this, if Suarez is innocent

What I don't get is that even if a footballer was minded to use such abuse in this Country he'd have real problems with his team mates and other footballers.
I know Suarez is scummy but it's odd how this keeps on happening to Evra.

Luis Suarez Facebook update:

I'm upset by the accusations of racism. I can only say that I have always respected and respect everybody. We are all the same. I go to the field with the maximum illusion of a little child who enjoys what he does, not to create conflicts.

Enojado por las acusaciones de racismo. Solo puedo decir que que siempre he respetado y respeto a todo el mundo. Todos somos iguales. Entro al campo con la maxima ilusion de un niño que disfruta con lo que hace, no para crear conflictos.

Just because Evra's previous allegations were not proved in his favor, it does not make him a liar. It is extremely difficult to prove an allegation of racism when it's one persons word against another with no witnesses, which is one reason why I expect few players to come forward if they have received racist abuse from another player.

I only recall Stuart Pearce being brave enough to admit he said something racist to Paul Ince.
