I've just heard on the radio that Suarez has picked up an injury in training and could be out for five or six weeks. Anyone else heard anything about this?

It's on sky sports news also but as reported as still no clear evidence. Meant to need surgery and out for the 4 to 6 weeks as you said.

Think you mean five or six seconds. His power of recovery is incredible.

Not sure if its' a good or bad thing for England, going into a game knowing they're missing their best player might give us a false sense of Uruguay being a weaker team.

To be fair he hasn't exactly been great for Uruguay. In the Confederations cup he wasnt great and during qualifying he wasn't great though the Uruguayans did dive alot

Uruguay national team always looked worse than it because they tried to fit too many good strikers in to one team. Whether it be Forlan, Suarez or Cavani, they and the team suffered as a result.

Apparently he was the top scorer in the South American qualifying - 11 goals. May-be he got most of them against the smaller teams though?

Reports are now saying he could be out from between two and ten weeks which would make him a major doubt for the tournament.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Actually it wasn't that bad but he did go for a while without scoring iirc and it never looked good there was a reason though 6 goals did come against 2 teams
