Hector is an excellent young player. He won't be a given a chance at Chelsea of course, but whichever teams he's on loan to for the next four years before he's eventually sold for a profit will be getting a real talent.

23 years old, one season in the Championship which was last one. Just seems like an odd deal to me.

The sale of Ryan Fredericks from Bristol City to Fulham after just four games was one of the odder pieces of transfer business. Do we think it was planned all along in order to diddle Levy out of his performance and sell-on clauses?

Nice also to see another old boy Nathan Byrne getting a well deserved leg up into the Championship with Wolves.

Think you might be over thinking it there slightly. More likely a young lad born and bred in London got bit of a culture shock when he moved to Bristol.

Correct, took out restraining orders on spurgerking and rawhide and couldn't leave the city fast enough.

It appears Man Utd approached Martial and made him a contract offer before they had an offer accepted by Monaco.
According to the Monaco Vice-President, United made 4 offers over the last few weeks, starting at £21.6 million and eventually up to £50 million by Saturday, all of which were rejected.
He says Martial then told the club United had made him an offer that couldn't be refused and that he wanted the two clubs to come to an agreement on a fee, which United then offered on Monday.

Tapping up???

Palace had already agreed a fee with Reading and terms with the player.... then Chelsea turned his head!

I'm pretty sure once you have submitted an offer to the club no one is going to prosecute you for tapping up.

I'm also pretty sure than in 90% of transfers the same things happen.

Good luck to the guy, I know he's gone to Chelsea but this is what it's all about, what a journey he must be pinching himself.
And he's back at Reading on loan from Chelsea. That's just Abramovich helping out Steve Clarke. He pays £4m for the player and then gives them back the player, nice.

Apparently he's been a bit of a Bale-like revelation in League One since switching from fullback to a forward role. I guess that's where he will play with Wolves too.

Understandable. It's been 17 years since I moved here from the South East, and I still feel like an outsider trying to make sense of their strange ways and Worzel Gummidge secret language.

I don't know if it's because he has been with us since he was a baby but he looks about 45 now.

Storts does the spurs players for FM (well, he did last season and had to really push for increases in ability for mason and Kane when they people running the game didn't want them). He doesn't seem to post much on coys nowadays.
I've just been away for 3 months thats all, and yeah I still do the players for FM. All about balancing the squad.
