Lamela > Zaha and Barkley in both those slots.

I really do no get the infatuation over Zaha and Barkley. Zaha's finally found his level. Barkley, guy was good for a tear but fell off so hard. These 2 combined would cost in upwards of £60m. Why cant we ever do the smart thing and spend that on 1 player of real quality.
The Sun understand Wilfried Zaha will reject a new deal at Crystal Palace in order to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

SC and match of the day watchers will be pleased

Are you 100% sure about this? Thinking about Zaha, I'm drawn to the quote from the RB Liepzig coach when they signed Oliver Burke - that is hard drive was completely empty. Zaha, has had a succession of average or defensive coaches. There is still a higher ceiling there.

It's funny you say that because it's the only position(RB) I don't worry about if our first choice(Walker) is out.
Trippier looks better then what he is because Poch manages him really well cherry picking the opponents he faces. He will/would struggle against any side that challenges him defensively.

Because this isn't FIFA.

Lloris, Lopez, McGee
Walker, Trippier
Rose, Shaw/Sessegnon
Keane/McGuire
, Carter-Vickers
Alderweireld, Wimmer?
Vertonghen, Davies
Wanyama, Dier
Dembele, Winks, Onomah
Eriksen, Lamela?/Barkley
Alli, Zaha
Kane, Janssen?/Schick, Son

Buy -
Lopez, Shaw/Sessegnon, Keane/McGuire, Barkley?, Zaha, Schick?

Sell/Sold -
Vorm, Fazio, Wimmer?, Bentaleb, Carroll, Sissoko, Njie, Nkoudou, Lamela?, Janssen?

That would give us significantly better balance than we currently have. Better set for 3421, but still enough flexibility for 4231.

For what it's worth, I prefer to keep faith with Janssen, I still think he'll come good, but understand there may be pressure to get someone in who can deliver right away. I'd also prefer to keep Lamela, but get a feeling he'll go back to Italy this summer. If we go for Sessegnon, I'd be inclined to keep Wimmer, so Davies can still cover LWB if required without weakening our CB options. I'd let Vorm move on, good keeper, but Lopez should/could be some smart succession planning, and needs games. Whoever we buy as RCB option should be able to play centrally too, so we have cover for Toby, although Dier would still be available too, and we looked good last year when he played DM and used to drop back between Toby & Jan.
I'd like to see us go for Tielemans, but think that could be too much change.

More outs than ins, allowing some of our development players to step up and fill the squad depth gaps.
