There is really nothing to suggest Mahrez is anything like Adebayor though. He, like many of the Leicester players struggled to come to terms with the "what happened next" part of their "fairytale". Obviously the difficulties with Ranieri and the dressing room didn't help. He's also had to come to terms with teams doubling up on him, and trying to stop him play.

Which is exactly what will happen with him at Spurs as ALL EPL teams park the bus when playing Spurs.
It's not uncommon for players who's had a very good 1st seaons (in top leagues around Europe) to have a relatively weaker 2nd season.

Yes, I remember some people on here wanted Spurs to sign him 2 summers ago. Even if he hadn't done well for Spurs it would have weakened the Leicester team so much that Spurs would have won the EPL last season. Oh well, restrospection is such a wonderful thing
