@dtxspurs the above post from @JonnySpurs is what we are looking for. Keita burnt his bridge with Poch by playing with us over the course of last transfer window and took a higher paying gig. We are looking for players that want to be here and are not out for the paper but rather the glory.
Wasn't just about coin, first he really wanted the Juve move, but after that fell through he was more then happy to come to us but only if we gave him a release clause which we wouldnt do. So he went to Monaco who gave him more paper as you say and a release clause. No doubt he fucked us around tho so happy not to have him in our team.

@Cravenspurs I'm just asking people to speculate that none of that happened and Keita signed here, would people have preferred that or Lucas?
To be honest I'm not sure I would have picked ether but out of the two I'm happy we got Moura. He has more experience and is only 25, same age as Salah who really only just became a super star this season. Now I don't think Moura will be as good as Salah but I do think he could be very good for us if he puts his mind to it, he has the tools but will need to go up a level if he wants to become the player he was supposed to be. On the other hand something about Baldes mentality for the game puts me off despite his skill.

At the time I was way more excited about the prospect of Balde vs when the rumors began for Lucas.

From Daily Mail article on Ryan Sessegnon:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...n-Sessegnon-kid-rules-men-Tottenham-next.html

Tottenham have been sending scouts to watch him since early last season. They remain the favourites to sign him should he choose to leave in the summer. Barcelona have been watching his progress while Liverpool, Manchester United and even Real Madrid have all been linked with a move.

Sportsmail understands, however, that Mauricio Pochettino, who has already shown he is willing to place faith in English talent, is viewed as a manager who would be ideal for Sessegnon's development.

Unique Sports Management, who represent Ryan and his twin brother Steven, have a number of high-profile players in their stable, including Tottenham striker Harry Kane. They prefer their players to be settled at one club and don't have a reputation for targeting multiple moves.

Sessegnon signed his first professional contract, which runs until June 2020, last summer but when he turns 18 in May there is every chance he will become a significantly richer man, with a new deal surely needed to reflect his new status.

Talks with Tottenham have continued this season and former Fulham striker Leroy Rosenior is one of many who believe a deal has already been done.

Apart from De Ligt, this guy is probably one of the best young CBs we can get our hands on. If I'm correct, he's left footed as well, which wold be Jan's successor settled too

Has there been any information regarding if we're still taking interest in Max Meyer? Finally out of contract this summer and has of course made the switch to CM where he has shined for a decent Schalke team. Seen a lot of reports of him potentially linking up with Kolasinac at the scum but he would be terrific business for us if we could land him on a free transfer this summer.

I don’t want to buy a new cb, I’m hoping dier moves back there and we improve midfield

Agree. Dier has definitely improved his game as a DM this season, but I don’t think he’ll ever possess the deftness and passing range to be a long term option for us in the role. As a CB, however, he has everything needed to be a top level defender.

If Alderweireld does leave as expected, I’d move Dier back and bolster our CM options, including someone with some vision and passing ability - something we’ve needed to do since Modric left! Winks could do this in the long term, but in someone like Napoli’s Diawara - a strong, disciplined holding midfielder with an excellent passing range - we could replicate City’s system of Fernandinho as a lynchpin. IIRC, Poch said something about favouring a lone DM system a few years back.

Things I've read online seem like Schalke is pretty much his top level and wouldn't be a good enough player to start consistently in a champions league side.

I would agree with that, at his current level I certainly wouldn't prefer him to step in as our first choice CM. But I could see him as a good squad player that Pochettino could potentially develop alongside another new CM (Kovacic, Ndombele, Aouar, Diawara, Rabiot) if Dembele does leave us this summer. That would leave us looking decent in midfield with a top level CM, Meyer and Winks. Obviously Meyer is just a suggestion but I think if Dembele does leave us we need at least two new CMs this summer, unless we can fit Onomah there in our system.

Yeah, I'm skeptical at this point on Dembele leaving, most people forget about Onoman when discussing CM. Which is surprising to me given how much some people want to force through the youth. I just don't think he'll be good enough to play at this level.

Was an article a few days ago suggesting he's already chosen to go to Arsenal. The article forgot to mention why on earth he would choose that sinking ship though.

Lenglet, Andre Gomes, Jann Fiete-Arp and a speedy left back IN
Toby, Rose, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Llorente, Janssen OUT

That would be a solid enough transfer window for me. I would of course prefer to Keep Toby and Rose.

The most recent article about Andre not liking the game doesn't concern you? I would much rather spend that same amount or maybe a bit more for Diawara.

I just don't see Diawara as a likely option at all. Players just don't often leave Napoli. Since they've been on there run only Lavezzi, Cavani and Higuain have left there all for big fees. I just don't see him as being available. I haven't read the article but seems like he needs a new change of scenery. This was a player who was one of the most coveted CM's in all of Europe not so long ago. I think a manager who will back him and uplift him like Poch could bring out the best of him.
