Whatever your complaint is, actually, the reality is that you're catered for. The ITK Discussion Thread ran very smoothly, the player threads went in whatever direction the users took them and it all went very very well.

Right, I'm going to stop replying now because it's taking the thread off track and some people aren't actually reading what I'm saying anyway :D

@tiger666 it's just a starting point, if we left it 'open' for a thread to be created for any player that takes someone's fancy there would be literally thousands and it would all be VERY diluted.

No it isn't. I've just said (again) that there are threads where you can do this.

Give me a number please. Any number, as long as its the number of the times I have to say it and it sinks in so I know how far I have to go :D
Well, you asked for a number....

6,969;)

And no, that does not mean reacharounds, A&C:cautious:

Would really like Maddison but he signed a deal last summer so will cost a fair whack to prise him away I'd imagine. Also comes across as someone that just wants to play and values it over a big contract but who knows, I may be wide of the mark.

People I am interested in:

Charles Aranguiz
Amadou Diawara
De Jong
Maddison
Arp

Charles is one of my favorite players and I have banged on about him for years now. Diawara is something special though so between the two I am torn. Charles would be half the price. The youth interest me but highest on De Jong.

Definitely a case of quality not quantity for me 2/3 unless unexpected sales. Have to consider Poch likes a tight squad 24 max imo. Also think there will a marquee signing Just in regard to stadium. I’d like that to be at CM. In dead wood thread I’ve suggested unwanted players could raise £70m hope club stump up £40m give kitty around £110m. I’d like a Stella CM £50-60m range. So briefly for me.
GK- young back up replace vorm
RB- possibly toughest call. I’m edging towards sell Trippier while reasonably hot and decent age.KWP becomes back up.
LB- fine as long as Rose stays
CB- fine for me foyth year older gives 4 CB plus Dier/ davies if needed. Ccv sold
DM- no issues
CM- Stella signing winks then understudy with dembele phased out. Sissoko Onomah sold
Am/ winger- Ideally for me you need 6 currently have 5. The 6th isn’t gonna get that much time unless go for AM/ striker type.personally I’d go for a very young foyth type signing.
2nd striker - Son is obviously an option. Again I’d go young promising.

So say kitty is £100m

CM- Stella £50m
AM/winger- young promising £25m
2nd striker- young promising £25m

Am/winger changes if Lamela sold then could go for £50m Stella like a Malcolm. The most exciting thing is that by new stadium the squad could be as close to perfect as is possible without buying a neymar or a messi. I’d expect for the 2/3 areas to be addressed and no obvious weaknesses left.

The absolute keys for me are a backup for Eriksen i.e. a creative AM player. I think between Son, Dele, Moura and Lamela we're fine in the other AM positions but we don't have anyone who can do what Eriksen does when he's injured.

By the same token, the obvious hole in our squad for years has been backup to Kane. As someone else said earlier, it's turning into a bit of a running gag now how we can't seem to sign any strikers that work. Could really do with someone to rotate him with, especially given how much football he's played over the past couple of years and now is not going to have a full break over the summer what with teh WC and everything. I just worry that eventually he's going to get completely burned out at this rate.

Last key position for me would be proper cover for Dembele. I love the guy, he's brilliant, but it's starting to get a bit like the Ledley King situation where he just physically can't cope with the amount of football we need him to play. I like the look of Winks so far, but he's not the same type of player as Dembele. We need someone who when we're playing teams who sit back, can just pick up the ball and drive forwards with it like Dembele does as this forces teams to break ranks and opens up space for Alli, Eriksen etc. to exploit. When he doesn't play we just end up passing around sideways against those type of teams and get nowhere.

And/or Malcolm instead of Madisson that would be perfect

I still think Kondogbia could be a monster under Poch.

Seems to have found his mojo once more on loan in Spain.

Don't really feel we need a long meta debate about how to organise the ITK/transfer window forum. The system works, there is no need for further changes. This January window was the best ITK/Transfer forum in ages.
