I was more looking at it from the perspective of what he brings to the team. Eriksen and Son are indispensable. Yeah you can rotate but they are guaranteed starters in our strongest team. With Lamela back and being Poch's favourite and us signing Moura that leaves a lot of people that need to be happy with being rotated. Dele is the one that'll kick up a fuss and want to leave...

No selling to our top 4 rivals under any circumstances would be my only criteria. I’ll be fucking livid if it happens again.

I'd go along with pretty much all of the OP, apart from selling Toby. Unless he's crocked with his hammy not healing! He and Jan are an unbeleivable partnership - both cracking defenders in their own right, but manage to become more when played together.

I think I'd honestly probably give up on Spurs/football if mega money splurges are what we have to look forward to from now...

I feel like people are complaining we need to compete with the big boys and then when we say, okay lets make room for players who can potentially improve us then people don't want to let go of their favourites.

Sell Rose for sessegnon, no brainer if you ask me if we are going to make sessegnon a rwb.

Sell Lamela as much as I love him, the amount of times he is in shooting positions and doesn't pull the trigger is infuriating despite all the other great work he does. Malcom potentially has the x-factor and has shown signs of being a huge prospect.

Sell Nkoudou, Sissoko, Janssen and LLorente, try and get that Arp in.

Find a Dembele apprentice and also bring onomah back as 3rd choice.

Do everything we can to keep Alderweireld, people have been going on about the fact we lacked experience vs juventus and so the solution is to sell our most experienced player and sign Tah? I'm adamant it's Tah because he's 22 and 6"4.

On behalf of the club wanting to pole the comments of SC. Please can we have a sensible discussion.

It is widely known Danny Rose’s situation ‘will’ be up for review at the end of the season. This also applies to Toby. I want to add my wish for Sissoko to be in that situation, along VJ, and possibly Coco (I want us to keep him). Would you agree with the following:

1. Sell Toby circa (c) 50
2. Sell Danny c. 40m
3. Sell VJ c. 12-15m
4. Sell Sissoko-whatever we can get c. 15m
5. Keep Coco, and only sell if situation contract-wise does not activate.

That works out at an average of 110m (aside from wages) comes in.

A. We bring in a quality German 22 year old, height 6ft 4, with presence, technique, and quality, for 35m
B. Sess for 50m
C. Dembele apprentice c. 35m
D.Malcom c. 50-60
E. A versatile Kane accomplice 20-40m

That is a total spend of 220m. Deduct 110 (sales), leaves a deficit of 110. Thus is covered with the existing budget set aside for the splash.

What would you do. Would you be for? Or against?

If something like this is possible we have to do it. It will provide us with that extra depth and quality to compete now and for years to come. We may lose Toby, rose and lamela but overall we will have a stronger squad which is more important. If this is what poch wants then we should do it, if he doesn't want this then don't do it. Simple.

There’s quite a lot that can be raised in dead wood or potential dead wood.

DW:sissoko £20m Llorente £8m Janssen £20m Nkoudou £8m Thats £50-60m .

Potential DW: Trippier £30m Rose £40m Lamela £35m Onomah £15m Ccv £10m various youth players £5-10m.

If the reported £100m kitty is true could easily see us spending £150m this summer.

I mean, footballs gone mad when a championship teenager with zero PL experience commands £50m which is huge money. So you might as well give up now.

@Hercules thanks for the "pole" -- had me doing a double take this am!
Seriously, the toughest one is Toby. By far the hardest decision this summer.
Where I end up is: Keep him for one season - argument to him is that we just paid his salary for almost a year without him playing. And if he refuses to sign, sell him for the 25 mill. NOW I know that there is a 25 mill loss on one year BUT, we get him for the first season at the new stadium, more time for Sanchez, Foyth and Dier to cement their CB bona fides and is an unusual but worthy investment. If we keep Lamela and then sell the Sissoko/GKN/Janssen group for Sessegnon, our net spend is about zero (with Vorm out and Pau in).

IF DL wants to give Poch a big statement signing, go for it but only if the fellow is TOP quality.

Less investment, a future loss on Toby but good balance going into next season.
