Benjamin Pavard could be an option. Impressing for Stuttgart.

I’m not sure I would replace Toby. I still feel Dier will eventually become a CB full time, and in Jan, Sanchez, and Foyth, we have good options.

That in turn would free up a CM space, one I hope we fill with Frenkie De Jong. He’s a phenomenal talent.

Eye on him also. No talks etc. Few to choose from, by all accounts. Please God, not Johnny Evans
Many options? All good targets but probably logistically difficult and may require some real moolah splashing to convince selling team? Evans as our fallback plan that we almost certainly won't fallback on?

Welcome Jonny!

I did feel dirty saying it buuuut...

Talented passer who can dictate games from deep and join the attack, moves the ball quickly, looks physically the best he ever has done and is coming into his prime. Will be on a free, would be great in those games v bus parkers where we totally dominate possession, and it would totally piss off the scum. He’d no doubt have to pass the most brutal medical.

Added bonus is the meltdown it would cause at the Scumirates. Not quite revenge for Sol, but would be funny.

I surely can’t be the only person to think this?

Good fucking lord

Honestly wouldn't mind Johnny Evans, think he's a pretty good CB.

Not in Alderweireld or Vertonghen's class, but he's decent for me.

If Sanchez and Vertonghen is the immediate future, Evans is a very good back up option, who would accept being back up more importantly I think, IMHO.

Surely Dier and Foyth would be back up to Sanchez and Vertonghen if Alderweireld left.

Don’t see any need for Evans.

May be the summer where we have to decide what Dier is. He’s at the age now where he needs to be in a settled position.

For 3 million pounds and the fact that he's won the league 3 times and FA Cup 4 times, i wouldn't be against the purchase. He has a lot of experience and can help some of younger CBs.

It's funny, I don't really understand where the hype from Jonny Evans has come from in past year or two. To my mind he's always been a pretty bog standard CB whose level is very much of the WBA's of this world, maybe better considering they'll be relegated but certainly no better than a mid-table prem side.

I tell you what as well, this is saying something considering that he and I have the same name. I should be pulling for this signing simply so I can see my own name on a Spurs team sheet
