If we don't sell any of our current attacking mids I don't see any room for another established player unless they genuinely are a step up on what we currently have. But then that would likely result in us selling a player.

As Sessegnon has shown desire to play ahead of taking a pay rise before I can't imagine him thriving when not playing.

As far as attacking mid is concerned we might be best off having Edwards 6th choice and slowly easing in.

Can only see sessegnon as a rose replacement but I not sure if he plays as a left back anymore?

Think our only outs who are currently at the club we should consider are Vorm, Sissoko and Llorente - though not at the expense of the team's cohesion as a squad. Can only think that Alderweireld and Rose might have any intention of agitating for a move. Janssen and NKoudou will have to really pull something out the hat if they want to stay in contention for the squad this year.

That'd leave us with up to 4 non-HG spots as well as integrating Carter-Vickers, Onomah, Walker-Peters and Edwards if desired - all of whom will not take up a squad place.

I personally think at CB, even if Alderweireld leaves, we have a strong enough selection to push on next year. RB is sorted.

LB I feel Sessegnon would work as a wing-back, though seeing how he is doing in the Championship it might be a bit of a waste of his ability. If he isn't the answer for a potential Rose replacement (I still hope he stays) then perhaps we should look at Bernat who's been shunned at Bayern - and you know who likes looking at players from elite clubs? Also his contract expires in 2019...

CM. There does seem to be a need for another player here, especially if Sissoko goes. Ndombele has been touted in this position, I haven't seen much of him. Doucoure looks good, despite what he said...also Diawara.

I think there is definitely an argument for following up the mutual interest with Malcom. He would take some pressure of Eriksen without compromising us going forwards and offers a shot from distance. Otherwise our attacking group look perfectly balanced.

A versatile forward (i.e. striker) would be the icing on the cake, though probably not necessary. It has been argued that Son could fill this role, and there is definitely an argument for that. Ideally would look at Leon Bailey but he doesn't seem to want to move. Tough tough tough. Maybe the time for a youth player to step up is coming...

Alphonso Davies - 17 year old Canadian left sided player for Vancouver Whitecaps.

One to keep an eye on.

Mentioned him before, already 6 caps for Canada, and his first MLS goal in his first game, lightening pace and a real talent, would love to have him on our books!

I know it's hard to judge the level of a player in the MLS (Yedlin) - but he's only just 17 and looks very promising.

Lemina is the most similar player in the prem in terms of style, if we don't wanna spend huge money then I think he's a shout.

If we wanna go mad, Milinkovic-Savic is the one to go for imo.
There's not much excuse not to get a mid in this summer. Plenty of targets to go for.

N'Dombele, Diawara, SMS, Lemina, De Jong even though he's a bit different.

It has to be the number one priority. We can't rely upon Dembele every game and it'd be nice to get someone who can move the ball quicker as a different option.

amadou haidara is a very interesting player. 20 year old cm for rb salzburg, similar style of player to naby keita. i imagine he'll end up at leipzig but he might be someone we're keeping an eye on.

I'd love us to get Kovacic as a CM and AM option. He could play both roles and offer serious competition and a rotation option in both positions. One player who covers a few positions and offers something a bit different to what we already have in each case.

How does he compare to Yedlin before we bought him?

Hard to tell, Davies is much younger, only just turned 17, and already he is becoming influential in games, has 3 goals in 6 caps for Canada, and looks very direct when he goes on the attack...

Interestingly enough, he is only contracted at Vancouver till 31/12/18, so he has less than 12 months remaining, could be a really shrewd buy/tribunal arrangement.

He is vastly becoming one of the most talked about players in the MLS, similar to DY in that aspect, would be great marketing for us in the North American department!

In
Sessengon
Malcom
Jann-Fiete Arp

Out
Sissoko
Llorente
Rose

Probably totally unlikey though!

Arp is dreadful. Went to the game against Mainz this weekend and the quality of the game was championship level at best. And Arp is not even a starter. Yes he is young and got potential but if we bought him now he wouldn't even be on the bench for us.

He's 18 years old with bags of potential, you should have seen a certain striker called Harry Kane when he was 18...

CB, LB, an Eriksen backup & a Kane backup would be top of my list.

It seems to me that Toby and possibly Rose will go in the summer making CB & LB the highest priority.

Sessegnon seems a superb talent but not at LB and if Fulham are wanting the in excess of 30m then it might not be the best option. Having said that we often just buy for resale value so maybe he could be in addition to a LB.

Backups for Eriksen & Kane are hard as we already know but injuries to either of them effect us too much to just ignore it.

Did you miss the part where I said he has potential? I'm just saying if we are looking for a back up striker for next season, he is definately not the answer

Seeing as you called him ‘dreadful’ I can understand the reply
