I’ve seen a lot of Sessegnon to Liverpool rumours these 24 hours. Apparently he’s a Liverpool fan. I hope we will try our best to get him this summer

The only one I see is an article in the Express, and others referencing it, and the most they can muster is a "sources close to the player say he would be keen on" which other outlets have taken and sensationalized to varying degrees of "his desperation" for Liverpool and Klopp .

True or not there's barely a story at the start and until we get closer to the window there's hardly one now.

Dele was also reportedly a Liverpool fan. They dithered. We’ve had a few years’ concrete interest.

Milinkov-Savic or Max Meyer to sort out our CM long term. Either of them might be hard to get unfortunately.

I'm not totally sold on Sessegnon, especially not for £50m. He's quite similar to Dele the way he scores his goals but I just don't see anything special in Sessegnon in terms of technical ability and skill. Remember that Sané, Mané and Salah all cost less than what Fulham is demanding and in light of that it's just ludicrous to pay that kind of money for a kid who's not proven himself at the highest level yet. Sessegnon is still worth taking a punt on if we can get him at a more reasonable price. Right now it just seems to be a whole lot of hype.

Forget about savic... He will be going to pool, utd or city for a huge fee... Max meyer is free next summer and he is the one who is gettable for a club like spurs... Though I am not sure whether he is good enough or mediocre like holtby or stambouli

Not quite sure how Sessegnon is a Liverpool fan considering he’s from London and tbh if he supports anyone it’s Fulham or possibly us based on his own tweets

Few things on Sessengon...

First of all, it really doesn't matter who he supported as a kid - Dele was a Liverpool fan too, Trippier and Dier both United fans, I could go on.

Secondly, in terms of possible destinations for Sessengon, we need to be realistic. Going to Liverpool would be a very attractive option for him, as would going to City, the most exciting team in the league, or United. Sessengon will believe in his ability and back himself to get into any of those teams - so let's not kid ourselves into thinking he'll see us as the only logical option for him.

Last of all, I pretty confident there will be a bidding war for Sessengon this summer. Whether Fulham go up or not, decide to keep or sell - there will be bids made. He will go to the club who bids the most for him. It's as simple as that. Whether or not he likes the idea of coming to Spurs and playing under Poch, it won't matter if we don't offer more than the other clubs.

It’s a myth Liverpool can buy big. Only if they sell. Think they have worst need spend of anyone this season.Plus they are losing can for £0 who will have to be replaced.Vvd was a one off due to coutinho sale.

Having a look through TranserMrkt, interesting to see a number of players with expiring contracts who I feel could be strong assets to the team!

STEFAN DE VRIJ - If we decide to sel Toby, he would be my number 1 replacement choice in the aspect of experience. I imagine we will go for a younger option, perhaps de Ligt or Tah or someone, but De Vrij is already a very relented centre back with similar attributes to Toby. Also has that Dutch youth training and background so I could see him forming a good partnership with Jan, only turned 26 a month ago so his best years ahead of him.

MAX MEYER - Another one who I would like, and for me, someone I believe we will pursue. He screams a Poch-type player: Renownd for his high work rate and engine-like ability, the fact he can play straight through the middle from CF/CAM/CM/CDM gives us so many options. A lot of people saying that the way he plays in the deep laying role is similar to Veratti at P$G. He would be great playing deeper matched up with a bruiser like Wanyama or Dier. Only 22 at the moment, 23 in Sept...a bit like Eriksen in the aspect that it feels like he has been around for years, and like Moura in the fact that I think there is a player with huge untapped potential who might just need a move to get going a bit. Would have loved Goretzka, but he is confirmed to Bayern.

BERNARD - Interesting one. A guy we were heavily linked with a number of years ago when he was at Ath. Minero before he went to Shakhtar. Been impressed with him in the CL this season, and he has contributed in 13 goals (10g 3a) in 27 matches so almost 1 in 2. The guy is lightening quick and can play across the whole front 3. He also has experience of playing as a lead Striker/Centre Forward role, which opens up a new dimension, maybe even false 9 possibilities!

Those 3 would all be viable options I feel and also players that I think could improve the squad and give us depth across the team, and by all accounts, are attainable players...

Also, know we wouldn’t sign him ever but shoutout to Mario Balotelli. Doesn’t seem to be in the Media much nowadays apart from when he is an unfortunate recipient of racial abuse, but he has really turned it around this season with 22 in 30 this season, looking like he may go the World Cup, available for nothing In the summer.

They’ve already bought Keita to replace Can. Slightly different players but they won’t be desperate in that position

Aren't they still sitting on a pile of money from the Coutinho sale?
