But, but, but. Am I still vegetarian if I drink coffee made with beans previously eaten and shat out by the civet cat?

It's all about digestive enzymes...

Ok, Ok, on topic. The CEO at my last job was a right Alan B'stard, who supported Fulham I believe, a sign Sessegnon is ours, I think yes!

Mate. Your all good to go. I was only joking, I know how easy it is to go off topic, and I'm certainly nothing to do with fun sponge police. (y)

Feckin' useless.

I asked a simple question, is civet coffee vegetarian, but no, you can't answer it, you swerve it like a right B'Stard.

FYI - Only perhaps free range civet coffee, as I just read that they are force fed it, which isn't very cool, OK!

Having a look through TranserMrkt, interesting to see a number of players with expiring contracts who I feel could be strong assets to the team!

STEFAN DE VRIJ - If we decide to sel Toby, he would be my number 1 replacement choice in the aspect of experience. I imagine we will go for a younger option, perhaps de Ligt or Tah or someone, but De Vrij is already a very relented centre back with similar attributes to Toby. Also has that Dutch youth training and background so I could see him forming a good partnership with Jan, only turned 26 a month ago so his best years ahead of him.

MAX MEYER - Another one who I would like, and for me, someone I believe we will pursue. He screams a Poch-type player: Renownd for his high work rate and engine-like ability, the fact he can play straight through the middle from CF/CAM/CM/CDM gives us so many options. A lot of people saying that the way he plays in the deep laying role is similar to Veratti at P$G. He would be great playing deeper matched up with a bruiser like Wanyama or Dier. Only 22 at the moment, 23 in Sept...a bit like Eriksen in the aspect that it feels like he has been around for years, and like Moura in the fact that I think there is a player with huge untapped potential who might just need a move to get going a bit. Would have loved Goretzka, but he is confirmed to Bayern.

BERNARD - Interesting one. A guy we were heavily linked with a number of years ago when he was at Ath. Minero before he went to Shakhtar. Been impressed with him in the CL this season, and he has contributed in 13 goals (10g 3a) in 27 matches so almost 1 in 2. The guy is lightening quick and can play across the whole front 3. He also has experience of playing as a lead Striker/Centre Forward role, which opens up a new dimension, maybe even false 9 possibilities!

Those 3 would all be viable options I feel and also players that I think could improve the squad and give us depth across the team, and by all accounts, are attainable players...

Also, know we wouldn’t sign him ever but shoutout to Mario Balotelli. Doesn’t seem to be in the Media much nowadays apart from when he is an unfortunate recipient of racial abuse, but he has really turned it around this season with 22 in 30 this season, looking like he may go the World Cup, available for nothing In the summer.

I'm sure I read somewhere that he's signed a pre-contract agreement with Inter Milan along with Asamoah from Juve.

LOL where has this come from??

He's on a free, hasn't done too bad at Nice...

Think he's had an epiphany, after meeting the Dalai Llama, and is now down with being a squad player, his ego quashed.

Definitely vegetarian, the free range Civet is like a personal shopper and chef rolled into one.

Lol. I live in Somerset, I'm sure I've drunk worse down here.

Is it? They have one of the highest net spends over the last 5 years. Where is this "myth" coming from?

I think @coys200 is coming at it from one direction and you are coming at it from another.

From your direction, they can because they have.

From his direction: Liverpool are only the fifth best financed club in the BPL. There is just no way they should be able to compete on transfer fees with the likes of United, Chelsea or City. On top of which, they pay a disproportionately high percentage of their revenues in wages. That alone should mean they struggle to even pay proportionately in transfer fees, let alone compete with clubs who have considerably higher revenues. I know they have cobbled together a stadium increase, but I can't see it ever, let alone immediately, pushing them up to OT levels of gate receipts.

So it should be a myth that they can compete at the highest end with transfer fees (and, for that matter, wages). But it is a fact that they somehow are. Maybe someone with a greater understanding of financing and book balancing can show how they have managed this - perhaps the £300 million that JW Henry has invested according to this article

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-owner-john-w-henry-13258145

So, they are kinda mini-doped, it would seem. Whereas when we talk about what a club can afford aren't we really talking about what their revenues generate? I think that is where the myth comes from - they aren't being talked about in the same breath as City and Chelsea, but they aren't doing anything organically like us, either. So their levels of spend and wage are higher than one would organically expect.

The kid is still only 21. Plenty of time to hit the highest level.
not quite, Meyer will be 23 by the start of next season so he wont exactly be that young. Ability wise imo he is just average to slightly above and has by some accounts a horrible attitude.

It's a pass for me I think we should be aiming for much better and he's not even as good as Winks so i dont see the point of wasting our time with him.

Draxler wasn't impressed by his entrance to the game which was delayed by five minutes after Cavani pulled one back for PSG. The midfielder was supposed to come on on 71 minutes but ended up replacing Di María on 76 minutes and couldn't understand Unai Emery's lack of urgency. “He didn't seem overly worried. I don't know what happened, I was surprised and angry. Making it 1-1 did change anything for us. I felt we should have kept pressing Madrid and attacking them”.

Draxler anyone?

Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon picks Tottenham move over Manchester United, City and Liverpool

The £50m-rated teenager leads the Championship promotion chasers with 14 goals this season with Spurs in pole position to land him

Ryan Sessegnon would favour a move to Tottenham if he leaves Fulham in the summer.

Spurs are in pole position to land the Cottagers’ £50million-rated wonderkid — thanks to manager Mauricio Pochettino and their north London location.

Teen sensation Sessegnon, who has bagged 14 goals this season and already racked up 69 appearances, is at the centre of a huge scramble for his signature.

Spurs are long-term admirers of the attacking full-back and have done plenty of groundwork on their bid to sign him

But they face competition from big-spending Manchester giants United and champions-elect Cityas well as Liverpool, while the 17-year-old has also attracted interest from abroad.

However Pochettino’s track record of developing youngsters and giving them chances to play has made Spurs the more appealing option to Sessegnon.

Londoner Sessegnon also wouldn’t have to worry about trying to settle in a new city as well as at an unfamiliar club if he joined Spurs, who are willing to pay £35m for the sought after starlet.

Sessegnon is tied to the Championship promotion chasers until 2020 after signing a new three-year deal last summer.

And their prospects of holding onto him this summer will increase further if they manage to return to the top flight after a four-year absence.

Slavisa Jokanovic's side are currently on a 14-game unbeaten run which has propelled them up to fourth, five points off automatic promotion.

The only thing any of these articles agree on is that if Fulham get promoted he is staying and if they don't they're likely to sell him and everyone will be interested in buying him. Outside of that I am not going to set any expectation or desire for us to buy him. Not because I don't rate him but rather there are just too many variables, too many wallets and too much time to do so.
