I really think we need to address our ludicrous goalkeeper situation. Having two foreign spot taken up by our second and third choice goalkeepers is nuts. Beyond that, selling Toby is a bad call regardless of how much we sell him for, and surely he would go for as much as VVD if he left? But I guess Toby going really isn’t down to us. selling Rose is another bad call, considering he is club trained and home grown I think we should keep him and give him a chance to get back to his best. Also selling Walker, Toby and Rose (all key memenber of the best defence in the league) over the space of two summers isn’t a positive move no mater how you spin it. I wouldn’t sell Coco, I rate him, he’s a fighter, he loves Spurs and he doesn’t moan about starting on the bench. You would be hard pressed to find another player of his quality or better not expecting to have more game time.

Sissoko and VJ have to go and probably the same goes for Llorente. I don’t think we should bring in Sess as an attacking option, so if that’s what we wanted I would prefer Malcom. As a left back 100%. But If it’s a choice between the two for a forward role ether Malcom or someone else. Really, I would put most of our money into a rotation option for Dembele. As good as he has been, we all know his fitness situation and he’s no spring chicken, the ideal being Kovacic but I doubt we will deal with RM as I’m sure there will be too many strings. Beyond that, I would go for a young, hungry advance forward who could play both on the wing or up front. Essentially a younger version of a player like Mertens. Or I would just get Mertens for 25 mil (which is his release clause come summer) and buy Arp and loan him out for a season. obviously a player of Mertens quality would expect playing time but buying a player like that would mean we wouldn’t need to get another WF as well therefore killing two birds with one stone. Martial is another example but obviously we have 0 chance of getting him of Jose.

On a side note, regardless of the work done over the winter, I think Malcom will go to BM, they need young wingers and he would preobably get a decent amount of game time from the off. And it’s BM.

PS, I’m assuming thats ITK about our intrest in Tah being a real target? As ever, cheers @Hercules for the info. Your a king amongst men. (y)

If Toby wants to stay I would do everything to keep him. Rose also if he wants to stay and is committed to giving everything. Outr defence is weaker than it was the previous two seasons. That is no surprise as we have currently ‘lost’ three of the back four. Top quality full back are essential although Replacing them with attacking players like Malcolm and Sess could make sense.

Overall then this all makes sense but Toby is the best centre back around wth an ability to spread play that others don’t have and losing him is a backward step

Sell : sissoko, vj, llorente, rose and nkoudou

Buy : sess(for 30m, if higher then go for another left back), malcom and arturo vidal ..

We don't need a typical target man like number 9 anymore. Having attacking midfielders like son, malcom, moura, lamela and alli can always fill in kane's position. What we need is an experienced , leader in the middle of the field .. arturo vidal fits the bill perfectly. I am not sure about his wage but surely bayern would be willing to sell him now that they have got goretzka. Even for only 1 or 2 season, vidal would help us out massively. This window we have made a big mistake by not moving for matuidi early in the transfer window. His wage is also quite low at juventus and his price was only 18m which was lower than moura and aurier. We made a big mistake. Matuidi would help us out massively in this season.

Lastly try to keep toby at any cost. We need him no matter what.

Honestly believe Keita will be a Pogba situation as in what’s his position. If they play a 3 of Keita DM Ox will be stupidly attacking but leave themselves massively exposed.

That’s the Liverpool way lol

I feel like people are complaining we need to compete with the big boys and then when we say, okay lets make room for players who can potentially improve us then people don't want to let go of their favourites.

Sell Rose for sessegnon, no brainer if you ask me if we are going to make sessegnon a rwb.

Sell Lamela as much as I love him, the amount of times he is in shooting positions and doesn't pull the trigger is infuriating despite all the other great work he does. Malcom potentially has the x-factor and has shown signs of being a huge prospect.

Sell Nkoudou, Sissoko, Janssen and LLorente, try and get that Arp in.

Find a Dembele apprentice and also bring onomah back as 3rd choice.

Do everything we can to keep Alderweireld, people have been going on about the fact we lacked experience vs juventus and so the solution is to sell our most experienced player and sign Tah? I'm adamant it's Tah because he's 22 and 6"4.

Arp is not ready to be our backup striker. Not even close

I'm all up for signing him or Dolberg, but we need to keep Llorente too. They are just not ready

You are right! Seems very stupid to me to sell Lamela for the foreign quota, when you are wasting one of those spots with the 3rd GK

Would be all for it except for Toby – but If he wants to leave i don't think we can get in a better and more realistic replacement (and prospect) than Tah. He looks to be the real deal. I think this would be excellent buisness.

Keep Toby if at all possible.
Increase wages for all the key players.
Sell Sissoko, VJ, N'Koudou and Rose.

We need a player same as keita mould .. sell sissoko, janssen and nkoudou - buy one top class cm who has champions league experience. May be arturo vidal or matuidi?

Vidal??
How do you expect us to sign a Bayern starter?

Agree with the OP - except for selling Toby. The Juve game has shown we need more experience and leadership on the pitch. Winning these type of games sadly isn't just about playing the best football.

Give Toby a large cash incentive on top of a hike in wages - but get him to sign. We'd miss him greatly if he left...

Apparently bayern want to sell him. They got goretzka now who will replace vidal ..

I think we made a big mistake by not going for matuidi only for 18m at the start of last transfer window. Aurier costed more than him

I wouldn't change much and we have to assess where we are most in need of improvement.

Sissoko and Janssen can go. And maybe we can do better than Lamela too. The bench still needs a little work.

I'm pretty satisfied with our entire back line, sub keepers and sub-full-backs included. We've been weaker without Kyle Walker, but we had to live with that. So if we could keep Rose and Alderweireld, we should. If they go, it'll likely be a weakening proposition for us, ala Walker's departure. A fit and firing Rose would still be our first choice left-back in my opinion.

There's an argument that the role Dier plays needs someone with more guile and subtlety in possession. If we were to splash any big money, I'd look there. But Dembele, Dier, Wanyama & Winks isn't too shoddy.

The forward options are all good/great. Adding Sessegnon would be smashing. Alli has been found out a bit this season, but it would be extreme pessimism to think he can't get back to a better rate of goals and assists. Son is still hopelessly under-rated I think and Moura looks like the real deal, so there's a range of good options to play behind Kane.

So, sell Sissoko & Janssen, retain Toby & Rose if we can, and add Sessegnon. And make a splash for a central midfield ball player???
