I think we need a 2nd striker and to sort out full backs situation. I don't think Davies and Trippier are quite good enough for where we are going as a club. I am happy to give Aurier another season to settle in but I'm concerned about our RB options in the biggest games. I think we should have given KWP more time but it's easy to say that when you don't have to choose a winning side. Trippier has good ball skills and final ball but just lacks half a yard of pace that would enable him to go past players.

I think Rose is good enough but I guess the relationship is broken at the moment and it seems like there's no way back. Davies has had half a dozen games this season looking top class but you always feel he's going to get found out against the really top sides and I'd prefer a slightly faster and more technical wing back (like Rose in fact).

I think for all the other positions we are pretty well covered and have 1st teamers and squad players maturing.

Ultimately we will need another Moose but I don't know whether this is the summer to find him as well have 6 players competing for 2 spots. A top class youngster happy to bide time but we have that in Winks

I would love a marquee signing for new stadium but who and where and would it upset squad ? Has to be that type of professional player who would contribute and be respectful to the others and bit try to hog limelight

Who are the 6 players competing for 2 spots? I'm not at the point where I'm counting on Winks. In both his seasons in the Senior side he has had long layoffs and has struggled with injury. I also haven't seen enough out of him to convince me he can adequately replace Dembele should the time come.

Well it's Dembele, Dier, Wanyama, Winks, Sissoko and if you still couldn't muster 2 from that then Alli (or maybe Ericson) would play deeper and you'd start another of Son, Lamela, Moura as the AMs. They play pretty fluid roles anyway. So you have 6 players really as cover. Of course I'd like an upgrade on Sissoko (y) but he is not a bad option as a DM towards the end of a game and, as somebody else said, doesn't seem to be complaining about the recent lack of mins - he might have realised that Spurs is about as good a club as he is ever going to play for....

Got it, I honestly forgot about him. Yeah I know it does seem like a lot but my assumption is that he would be on the way out and with Dembeles age/injuries and winks injuries/inexperience I don't think adding another option is a bad idea.

Mawson would be perfect being a right footed ball playing centre back that is comfortable on the left

You sure he's right footed?? I think he's left footed which is one of the main reasons we may want him

Edit: Transfermarkt has him as left footed

If you watch him play he uses his right foot more than his left to pass to tackle and for everything really

Walton? for Vorm
Mawson, Tah or Pavard for Alderwieireld
Sessegnon for Rose
Diawara understudy for Dembele
? understudy for Kane
Arp for the development squad

Given Sissoko is being utilised as more of a central midfielder/shield to close out games then I can see him sticking around.

Mercato: Antero Henrique (PSG) watches over Malcom (Bordeaux)

Future champion, winner of the Coupe de la Ligue and eliminated from the Champions League, PSG is already preparing next season. And a familiar name of Ligue 1 is watched by Antero Henrique: that of Malcom, Girondins de Bordeaux.

Why go elsewhere to find what you already have at your fingertips? Especially if you think of Ousmane Dembélé, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or N'Golo Kanté, who made the happiness of the L1 before exploding abroad. So many cases that have questioned the reluctance of French clubs face talents already present in France. Antero Henrique, the sports director of PSG , would like to avoid this kind of regrets about another young talent in the Championship, the Brazilian Malcom . This feeling has been reinforced by competition from the Premier League. This winter, Tottenham and Arsenal knocked on the door, and Bayern would be in the running to rejuvenate his offensive line.

Malcom at PSG? Estimated value: between 40 and 50 million euros

In Brazil too, the coast of Bordeaux has skyrocketed. The coach of La Seleçao, Tite, and his assistants have seriously begun to observe the promise of Bordeaux, author of eight goals and six assists in twenty-six tenures. In private, the former boss of FC Porto has repeatedly leaked his interest in the 21-year-old. He could particularly benefit from the quality of his network and its proximity to the agency Elenko Sports, which manages the affairs of the former winger of Corinthians. Under contract until June 2021, its value is estimated between 40 and 50 M €. At the moment when the PSGis looking for a new coach, Antero Henrique, him, prepares the possible files to present. But before, it is necessary that all the pieces of the puzzle are put in place. Buy yes, but especially sell, which the Portuguese will be also in charge. This is perhaps where it is most expected by the owners of PSG to allow the club to spend without a hitch the financial fair play review before June 30 ...

Mawson really seems to fit the bill as a CB target, homegrown, young but composed, left sided, decent in the air and in possession. Swansea will price us out of him though surely.

I'm sure there are plenty of options in Europe too but he ticks all the boxes bar experience.

Spurs eye up Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt for £50m summer swoop as Toby Alderweireld talks stall

Tottenham are keeping close tabs on the talented Dutchman

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a potential £50m summer swoop for Ajax teen sensation Matthijs de Ligt as speculation builds over the future of Toby Alderweireld.

The 18-year-old Netherlands international centre-back has been catching the eye of top clubs around Europe in recent seasons, including Barcelona and Arsenal, but football.london understands that Tottenham are also interested in the teenager, who could cost as much as £50m.

The north London outfit traditionally do their business later in transfer windows, but after that strategy drew some frustrated words from manager Mauricio Pochettino this season, Spurs could look to move for De Ligt early this summer in order to fend off some of their bigger spending rivals and land one of Europe's most highly-rated young talents.

Haven't seen Ally get a lot of transfer scoops except those the club want to get out there so super curious how this pans out. I rate him but he screams bidding war.

I think one of the ITKs has hinted we’ve been looking at going back to our favourite supermarket (Ajax) in January.
cheers!
Suppose the one other question is whether there has been any more ITK on Danny? If he leaves would we bring in a player who can play LB and LCB or bring in two players? I am assuming Sessegnon, if he comes, will be higher up the pitch - RWF.
