Hercules said if we want Bale, he is ours. That implies he would accept a wage within our range. Beside we'll be paying considerably more next season. A wage of 150k p/w could be easily accepted by Bale

So the major question now is ... Do we Want Gareth Bale?

Would this be down to Poch or Levy?

I’m sure the fans would like to see him out there for our first game in the new stadium

Any ITK in this one or Would we have to keep this one incredibly quiet if so?

He starts nearly every game for PSG, he isn't going anywhere.
He's run his contract down to one year left and there have been a number of reports in the French media that he's looking to leave the club. The likeliest scenario is that his agent is just jockeying for bargaining position to get him the best possible wages in contract renegotiations, but it could also be the case that he actually wants out. He wouldn't be the only player unhappy with the special treatment that Neymar gets, it seems there's a bit of a toxic atmosphere around the club at the moment.

Real quality in that wishlist bar Seri who I don't get fuss over, think he's very inconsistent.. if we had the money that would be some window

Don't see why we won't have the money for these players. Alderweireld and Rose should bring in some decent cash and we should be able to bring in even more if and when we sell players like Llorente, Sissoko, Onomah, etc. We have some very good players to move that just don't seem to fit with us. They might be strong players with another club - and will have to pay for the privilege of signing them.

Seri hasn't set the world alight this season - but he's still a strong player in my opinion. Tackles well and distributes the ball intelligently.

The Club knows that we have to have a successful season in 2018-2019. Not only to keep our current players happy but to help fill the stadium in 2019-2020. And if ENIC are looking to sell the Club then they'll get top-dollar for a successful club on the rise. Maybe we'll see a sizeable transfer budget this summer. Not too long before all will be revealed...

I'm going to pay some attention to Fernandes for Sporting playing against Atletico right now. Media have linked us a few times.

Problem with him, is his mother, and her demands. Not our fit, and won’t guarantee anyone first team place.

For some context on how crazy the demands are sometimes, i just heard Chelsea paid Barkleys agent £7m on top of the £15m Everton got. No wonder we decided against him

I think Seri's passing is all over the shop..he'L fine 1 game next game utter dog shit..I'd stay well clear... Madrid are going to want big money for Kovacic & Rabiot wouldn't come cheap..Bailey we'd be blown out of water by others..he is a special player

I'm sure he also said something along the lines of ligue 1 is no preparation for the CL, maybe he's had enough of steam rolling that league and fancies a challenge

He has said he’s not sure if he’ll be at PSG next season. Juve heavily linked in french press - Barca too.

Don't know mate could have. I had mentioned Cristante on here, and it was doing the rounds in agents circles prior to his article. There is nothing afaik that he has said that hasn't been mentioned in here or elsewhere, but that doesn't mean he hasn't recently picked up a decent contact for us.

I think he said Cristante before you confirmed it, but you had narrowed the field down somewhat with some hints.

It's hard with ITK and journos, when they tie up is it similar sources or just simple plagiarism?**** knows!

I like the majority of his articles this week, new contracts for key men, huge one for Poch, etc... so I'm choosing to believe he's bang on haha.

I’ve never seen him “ tear it up” in a single game. I’ve seen him be in the right place at right time and generally score tap ins. I’m not bemoaning the knack of being in right place, but that’s not tearing it up imo.
That is absolute nonsense. He's a two time PFA Championship team of the Year member at 17 FFS. If that's not tearing it up, then what is?

That means that both pro scouts and his peers rate him an elite talent, both of whom have opinions far more valid than any single SC member, or the completely unfounded 80% figure you pulled out earlier.

Also, regarding the 'not doing it at his own age level' bit you trotted out earlier. He was in the 2017 U-19 EUROs Team of the Tournament in a winning side. You're pretty much wrong on all counts.

Would be great if he signed for £80 a week and a bag of crisps... But that isn't likely. :) Any agent who gets % of a deal will want to push for a large wage. Plus, Bale himself might not want a pay cut. Has anyone got any ITK that he wants to come back to us?

I saw the guy play, he was and is a legend. I am not against him coming back, I would love it, but is it realistic?

Even better, some peanuts and a bag of fair trade bananas.

I'm still hoping Toby can be pursuaded to stay, bit like Ozils last min turnaround. I agree as a club we can't be held to ransom but imo we cant keep this successful curve going if we keep selling our best players and Toby IS OUR BEST CB, Walker was our best rb and Rose is our best lb.
The big clubs are not gonna put ridiculous bids in for Trippier, Sanchez or Davies. They want these guys for a reason.
We are, like it or not, slowly being picked apart by vultures.
Whether we can do much about it remains to be seen.

Losing 1 player is hardly 'being picked apart'.

If we dont sign sessegnon not that bothered if we do sign him will trust in the scouts
For me, it's a case of will he take 4 years to develop into a top PL player?

I've no problem taking him for a reasonable fee (not £50m) - just don't want to endure 4 years of fans saying, "he'll come good." He is likely to come good with Poch behind him, but at what cost to the team and over how long a period?

We sort of need both - to develop a prospect and to bring in someone who can cross the ball from the wing consistently well immediately.

Regarding Rabiot...

I recall the latest installment from his Mum, she supposedly told PSG that if her son was to renew his contract, that they had to meet three conditions...

  • There had to be an exciting project
  • He plays in his correct position
  • They have to sign a DM
