Dele Alli can easily succeed Dembele but imo I prefer him closer to Kane.

Onomah I really hope Pochettinho gives this kid a go next season. He has the lot in he's locker.

Foyth is another superb talented Argentinian u21 CB, beautifully composed skillful and ball player. I really don't get the need for the Ajax CB, we already have a beast in Sanchez and Dier is on course. My only concern is the lack of a left footed CB to succeed Vertonghen.

Going forward ie scoring goals with Kane Eriksen Son Alli we are good for the foreseeable future, we need to concentrate on our wingbacks another midfield general and a cherry on put a wing forward lefty preferably that can too score.

From what I hear, and to be very frank, there is a growing list, mostly young. Da Legit is one that we are really keen on. That all depends on the Toby situation (exit very likely). RS, still very high, of not tops of our wishes

Poch has to get this right with his choices. LB is a key area, along with ACM, and forward to replace Llorente. I can’t see Rose leaving, due to his personal situation.

Selling our most experienced players and then buying young players and waiting for them to mature. When they mature and can perform in big game, then we will sell them again and back to square one

Right Back? Our RB group is much stronger than our LB group, especially if we can't offload Rose and upgrade him. Aurier's got intelligence issues, but no more than Walker had at his his age. And we have KWP coming through who could potentially be better than all f them.

I'd say, assuming we sell TA and Rose we need two CM's and a LB. If we wanted to guild the forward Lilly, I wouldn't have bothered with Moura and just waited for Sessegnon. If we are going to add an AM, we don't need any more pacey chickens with no heads, we need some quality and intelligence. Fekir, Draxler eg. Hell, right now I'd swap Lamela for Thauvin, who's pretty much become the identical but better version of Lamela, who scores goals as well as making them and works hard like Lamela.

Right now aurier is nowhere near current walker. If we continually sell experienced players at their peak and replace them with younger players and wait for them to mature, then how could we improve? Did we improve by selling walker and buying Aurier? I don't think so... Aurier has costed us goals in this season and those goals could have been avoided if walker was there

N’zonzi Would be a perfect signing. 29 turns 30 in December, experienced, strong, played in PL before. Perfect Dembele replacement and his age means that Winks and Onomah still have time to develop and later becoming start players

My OPTIMISTIC Summer Transfer IN/OUT Shortlist

OUT:
Toby 45m-50m
Rose 40m-45m
Dembele 20m-25m
Sissoko 20m
Llorente 10m
Janssen 10m
Nkodou 7m

INFLOW 152m-167m

IN:

CENTRE BACK (PICK 1 OPTION):

OPTION A:
NEW LEFT FOOTED CB SHORTLIST (BUY 1) - LENGLET 26m (release clause) / MAWSON 35m (HG option) / UMTITI or KIMPEMBE (Pipe dream swap deal + cash with Toby if he goes to Barca/PSG) / L. HERNANDEZ 50m (Utility player - can slot seamlessly into LB and LCB... If purchased, would not need to purchase a separate LB)

OPTION B:

MATHIJIS DE LIGT 45m (Huge potential, but his arrival leaves us with 3 RCBs [Sanchez, MDL, Foyth] and 1 LCB [Verts] meaning a RCB would have to deputize LCB - an uncommon, and seemingly not preferred tactic for Poch when in 442. Also would hinder Foyth's development)

LEFT BACK SHORTLIST (PICK 1):
TELLES 35m (release clause / GAYA 30m / SANDRO 55m (Worth a shot?) / SHAW 25m / BERNAT 25m / GRIMALDO 30m

CM SHORTLIST (PICK 2):
KOVACIC 45m / NDOMBELE 35m / DIAWARA 40m / AOUAR 30m (Able to play as an AM as well) / RABIOT 55m (PSG unlikely to sell) / MEYER (Free) / CEBALLOS 30m / AMIRI 15m (release clause)

FORWARD SHORTLIST (PICK 1):
We've learned from our experiences with Llorente and Janssen that it is extremely difficult to find a quality back up for Kane. Therefore, we should be looking at players that can play out wide and up front like Son (who is already an excellent deputy for Kane IMO)

RASHFORD 70m / BALE 70m / MARTIAL 55m / ZAHA 45m (with his recent comments seems unlikely unless Palace go down), BERTRAND TRAORE 35m / LEON BAILEY 40m / KEITA 40m

PREFERRED/FEASIBLE INS:
Lenglet 26m
Telles 35m
Kovacic 45m
Ndombele 35m
Rashford 70m

OUTFLOW ~210m

INFLOW ~160m

NET SPEND ~ 50m

+SIGN VERTS, ERIKSEN, SON TO NEW LONG TERM DEALS

I know some will say they are largely happy with the squad and that "we don't need much." With increased revenue & player sales we really have an opportunity this season to have a great summer window.
I don't see why it can't be both quality and quantity with the proposed outgoings.

This is still a wishlist thread, right?

In:
Sess/De Ligt/De Jong/J-Rod/Pereira/Kurzawa (or better like Telles)/Maddison = £265?

Out:
Janssen/Nkoudou/Sissoko/Llorente/Rose/Toby/Dembele/Onomah/CCV/Vorm/AURIER! = £240-250ish?

For around £15-£25m we can seriously upgrade the squad.
240-250 for those players outgoing - can you price each player to back that up
even daniel aint that good

We need to be smart this window. If we sell Trippier/Aurier and replace with KWP, sell Dembele and replace with Onomah/ Eriksen or Alli playing deeper then we will save lots of money which we can then spend on a big player or multiple players. Even if we sell Alderweireld, De Ligt or Lenglet would be the only realistic replacement I would be okay with. Rather give Foyth the chance than signing Lascelles

I'm surprised how confident everyone seems to be about moving Eriksen / Alli down to CM. As of now neither of them are defensively good enough to be full time CM's in my opinion.

Eriksen and Alli have been fantastic for us playing up front. Let them do that and invest in a proper CM, if Dembele leaves

Selling our most experienced players and then buying young players and waiting for them to mature. When they mature and can perform in big game, then we will sell them again and back to square one

This has been the model since 2004 when Arnessn joined. It has taken us from 14th that season, to now regulars in the top 4 (we’d never even finished top 6 until 2006). It has allowed us to grow and improve consistently without having the same spend as our rivals because we aren’t as rich. I experienced player has left unless they have forced it. Carrick, Berbatov, Keane, Bale, Walker, none wanted to stay. Even with the obvious blips each time, we have still grown and improved.

Right now aurier is nowhere near current walker. If we continually buy experienced players at their peak and replace them with younger players and wait for them to mature, then how could we improve? Did we improve by selling walker and buying Aurier? I don't think so... Aurier has costed us goals in this season and those goals could have been avoided if walker was there

Walker, especially at Aurier’s age, cost us goals through stupidity too. A lot of them. Pochettino improved him. This is Aurier’s first season in a new league after a tumultuous time, he hasn’t had a run of games at any point, give him a bloody chance. I bet you wrote of Son too after his first season.

I wouldn’t play either in a cm2, but both could easily play in a 3 with a pure anchor behind them. Did you ever foresee De Bruyne and Silva in central midfield?

The Jay Rodriguez links are ridiculous... I know he is well regarded by Poch blah blah blah... He'll be 29 next season and has scored around 30 PL goals in his career. Poch says the team should be aiming to compete in the Champions League. Does anybody really want JRod up front when Kane's down?

I like him, and he’ll be cheap
:censored:

But, even our squad depth incomings should be better than Jay Rodriguez. No reason why Son wouldn’t be used instead of Kane over Rodriguez.

Doucoure would be a decent Dembele replacement. Once we’ve negotiated Watford down from £100m or whatever

Assists this season from CM. Dembele 0 Dier 2. Imagine how many kane would score if we actually had a CM that could feed him ?

Yes some will argue Dier breaks up play blah blah. Dembele controls a game blah blah. But for me if we could find a player with goals and assists from CM it would totally change our dynamic. Keita will likely add 20 goal contributions to Liverpool next season. You can control the game all you like, but goals win you games. We had 48% of the ball against city over both PL games the most of any team against them, look where that got us.

Dele and Eriksen are ideal in a 3 and abit deeper imo. Both have fantastic engines and work back. Both can score and assist. Both are better with the game in front of them imo, dele making runs from deep and Eriksen picking the passes. If you added a real quality addition on the right in the front 3. I think Son kane ??? With dele Eriksen in behind and Dier as the pivot would be as good as anyone next season. Lamela/ lucas are very good players, but I believe we could find better for the right side slot.

I suspect there’s a hint there. FDJ. Looks like a proper footballer.

I'd like to see Alli move into the Dembele role.
Alli doesnt have the strenght

Don't see the point in replacing Dembele with a player of similar age and far less talent..Would it not be best placed keeping Dembele.
