I'd like to think Spurs have moved on from gaining the rejects from other clubs who invest heavier, into a club who can afford to go out and get top quality personal.

Me too and for that reason we shouldn't be trying to hoover up shit from the relegated teams.

He's on £120k a week though. Unless he's willing to take a big pay drop or we're willing to make him our top earner by a fair distance its a no goer. Shame as he'd be a perfect fit for what we need.

He is on 100k a week. Largely, I do agree. If we are interested, its up to him - Does he want to play in a boring system as a B team player or come to a dynamic team & compete for the XI but lose 30k a week ?

Yeah, would be terrible if we signed another reject like VDV, Davids or Parker

Pochettino and Mitchell know what they're looking for and I think we all know Pochettino can get more out of players than they show for their current clubs. If Lallana fits into that then great, lets try and get him. Whether or not he's been successful at Liverpool is no concern to me but for what it's worth I think he's been one of Liverpool's better players since Klopp arrived.

If the success of Leicester shows anything, it's that putting together a successful team is not about spending the most money, or getting the most feted talent. It's about getting right players to fit your blueprint. Lallana and Poch clearly work together well. He presses well, he was outstanding when we drew at Anfield.

I agree with this, but the two things aren't mutually exclusive. Just because a player is expensive doesn't mean he isn't also a perfect fit for the team.

Maybe Leicester go on to achieve incredible things next season and beyond, but for the moment let's not get too carried away that you can win the PL without spending money, especially in today's market AND especially once you are at the top 4-6 positions of the PL table season after season.

I'm sure if Leicester try and sign any players this sumnmer they will suddenly find the selling clubs asking a lot more for their players than they did when Leicester we're in the Championship and bottom half of the PL.

Schneiderlin dropped for Euro squad. He is also playing bad for United. Does he now think he made a mistake moving to United ?

I wouldn't mind us putting a decent bid for him. He could suit well into the team - could back up & compete against both Dier & Dembele

Yeh he was a fuckwit for going there, but that's his own fault. I'd take him as our only CM signing this summer in a heartbeat.

They are stacked in attack, it's amazing.

This will make him angry though and I think he'll definitely leave now.

What he really needs is to hook up with his national team captain at club level, that will sort his situation right out ;)

Would love us to go for Ross Barkley, ticks a lot of boxes for us. Young, English, can play CM or AMC to provide better quality alternatives than we have in them positions, I think he'd fit really well into our squad.

One would assume we could offset wages with signing bonus. Also didn't he make a big fuss about moving from Southampton to ensure he was in the France squad?

He's only got a couple of years left on his contract, hasn't he? If he kicks up a fuss and hands in a transfer request, they'll be better off selling to us (or someone else) now for what would probably still be a good amount of money than losing him for peanuts a year down the road.

Perfect for us in that he'd want £200k a week wages, and then we'd have to pay the likes of Kane, Lloris the same or risk a badly divided dressing room? Yes, perfect...
Not if we got Saul in - who also wants £200k/week

Perfect way to make sure we don't have one player who stands above all others...
