This thread is so cringeworthy. Why are people so obsessed with what journalists say about us? They aren't trying to engineer these things to happen, they are just giving their opinion. They can't influence Real Madrid's transfer policy so I wouldn't worry.

Just ignore it.

What they don't take into account is that we have far less resources than the other big clubs.

Chelsea and City have, for all intents and purposes, almost limitless money.

Liverpool, United and Arsenal all have higher revenues from merchandise, attendance and sponsorship. (To my knowledge - happy to be corrected.)

All five have a much higher wage wage ceiling than us, meaning that they attract the best players.
So it obviously makes sense that we have to achieve considerably more than them on the pitch to be considered equal to them ;)

I thought Alyson Rudd and Jack Pitt-Brooke made a welcome change to the usual Samuel/Winter/Cross selection that's normally served up...Charlie Wyatt is a bit shit though.

Look unless we win countless Champs leagues, Titles, FA cups and become the most perfect team in history then it would mean there needs to be improvement which would mean there are criticisms to be made.

It genuinely doesn't bother me, but it does amaze me.

I love that we're underrated. Makes it all the sweeter when we acheive stuff.

I'm gonna cry my eyes out every day until we're universally recognised as the best team ever in the history of the world that's never won anything, I think that's perfectly reasonable and fair

We were not supposed to feature much according to Neil Ashton's notes

So what?

I've seen shedloads of positive comments on that show. Not seen one thread praising them about it :D

I'm not sure why everything has to be positive all the time or where this idea comes from that if you say something that can be taken as negative, that you then have to balance it out with some positive comments.

Generally speaking, in the media, we aren't disliked or sneered at and there's no anti Spurs agenda, that's all rubbish. We get our fair share of the goodstuff.

I don't talk regularly to either but do know through PM's that Oliver Holt (not on today's program) and Neil Ashton are supportive of the Club and have written honestly about the team, the performances, results and about Poch. I saw nothing in today's program that suggested that there was any anti-Spurs discussions.

The only times i have heard criticism from either of those on today's SS about Spurs (that was in my opinion founded) was during our CL and EL campaigns, and most on here were the same as well.

Some on her are more sensitive than a gnats fanny.

Haven't watched the show much in recent times. To be honest they rarely talk about Spurs except in passing. Then again we don't win things so will always be considered less of an attraction to talk about until we start to win trophies. Potential is meaningless in real life and not talking ourselves us but producing on the pitch is what we want

Haven't listened to this week's show, but the scouse lad on last week had a refreshingly unbiased approach (understandablw pool slant aside). Made for a good change.

Again, nothing to do with being 'precious' or 'sensitive'. What they day impacts not one iota on my wellbeing.

I just find their opinions kind of baffling and amaxing when you consider how we've performed this season so far

I don't think there's necessarily an anti-Spurs agenda..I just get sick of the constant rimming that Liverpool get, way too many former players across both BT and Sky..
