Add to that the crap football Utd play. Spurs in my opinion are still punching above our weight really. I'm so happy we are doing well and progressing as a club but if we compare wages and transfer fees we are doing really well and in all honesty Mourinho should be slammed for only being a few points above us but having spent hundreds of millions more.
Finance wise we're about sixth, so anything above that is punching above our weight.

However, with our players, including the best striker in Europe outside Neymar, Messi and Ronaldo, we should be right up there imo (City are an anomaly atm), which we basically are.

Ashton has turned into a niggling little sod. Neil Custis has his head firmly stuck up Mourinhos arse..rather strange for Newcastle fan. I would still rather listen to these than the likes of Parlour, Micky Quinn, Dean Saunders and other ex pros who haven’t a clue what’s going on in football. Neville, Carra, souness, cundy and Cascarino are about the best. Jenas is ok too especially when he winds up Shearer.
The average supporter has more idea about football than the average ex pro. They just played it and from what a lot of them say they are wrapped up in themselves while doing so.
They are all claiming Mane should have been booked for the deliberate hand ball and sent off, believing it is a booking every time for deliberate hb. In fact it isn’t according to the laws. It is up to the referee.

Mostly agree, but re: Mane I can't see how it wasn't a yellow given that Palace were four against two defenders on the edge of the box had Mane not grabbed it. Surely that's the definition of a "promising attack", the breakup of which through a deliberate handball is meant to be punished with a yellow card.

I hadn’t watched it for a while but you could tell the 3 journalists all though Custis is a massive bellend who doesn’t have a clue. No idea how he’s in a job, he’s like a drunk in the pub rambling on about bollocks.

I thought it was just outside the palace area

So Sunday Supplement this morning discussing Southgate being linked with Man Utd.

They dismissed it as Soutgate just signed a long term deal with England and is fully behind the project at England and has unfinished business with them.

The irony

Why do people watch that shit. The press hate us avoid them.

I dont think they hate us, they certainly annoy me but im sure they annoy the majority of people. They generate news which conjures up debate etc - creating own stories and drama when inr eality most of the case nothing is there... fake drama

I wouldn't mind if any of them journos had anything of any substance to say. Whatever the topic, it's like listening to a re-run of the previous week ad infinitum.
At least some of the old boys had a bit of a charisma and a sense of humour. This lot are like Jack Nicholson's McMurphy at the end of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Ian Ladyman from Daily Mail had a right go at Pochettino this morning, basically blaming Poch for us not strengthening the squad.

Sam Wallace put him straight

Stopped watching this biased crap a few seasons back

Are they biased?

Superficial, Ill-informed, self-opinionated, smug, cowardly and generally not very bright; certainly.

But biased?

Has a toad the intellectual capacity to be biased?
