We can confirm that our Barclays Premier League clash with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light will now take place on Saturday March 7, kick off 3pm.

The match was originally scheduled for Saturday February 28 but has been rearranged due to our involvement in the Carling Cup Final the following day.

The subsequent date has been chosen due to both teams having been eliminated from this year's FA Cup competition.

If we get through to the next round of the UEFA Cup, the Round of 16 is on 12 March and 19 March 2009 with Villa (A) on Sun 15 March Eek

If we get knocked out of the UEFA Cup, it gives us an 8 day break before we try to scrape a draw at Villa

And if both us and Villa beat our opponents in this UEFA Cup round we'll be playing each other three times in a week!

Did you think we were never going to play Sunderland and the pools panel was going to decide? As a Spurs fan who enjoys following them and going to games- I might head up for this-I just hate it that we play football matches. It really gets in the way of things.

If only we hadn't been so stupid to get to the CC final, we could have played the Mackems on the right day. God Damnit.

    rotation rotation rotation

    that's what I say :)

Be better for travelling then than if we have to go to Moscow. Whoever we get there will be people complaining that we are in the UEFA Cup and then wanting us to win the CC to get into the UEFA Cup...

Of course, but both clubs will be sick of the sight of each other come that second leg
