Great fucking game but I have never seen a player look less likely to score than Defoe today, anyone would have had a hat-trick today. COYS[/quot

You're right, Bobby would've got at least a brace. The mans on fire. Boy did we miss him today :)

Looking forward to the ratings thread- all the players did well, even Lloris apart from his mistake

Im sure some will but u cant complain about that result and performance. I know Sunderland are bottom but we were class second half. The only downside was not scoring more. But deserved win and a great week :)

Happy with that. Ground out a well dederved win and played much better in the 2nd half.

Townsend has to play left wing for me. It's a no brainer.

Just before many of you start flying in the clouds, let me remind you that Sunderland are sitting at the very bottom of the table. We should comfortably win against them rather than scraping our pants after the end of the game.

Whilest true, they lost 4-3 during the week with Chelsea. Chelsea didn't have it 'easy' and if it wasn't for Hazard, they would have lost.

I don't give a monkey's...Sunderland have been better under Poyet just because they were handicapped with that plank Di Canio for most of their games don't take the credit away from us. They just pushed Chelsea to the limit.

We should of won about 5-1. That;s what the fans want to see, creating clear cut chances....do that consistently and a steady flow of goals will come.

I'm delighted.

Walker is still coming on really strongly, eh? Another excellent day for him. Dembele and Paulinho also played really well.

Fair play to Naughton. No complaints about his play today.

Also big ups to Capoue. First time to play CB this season and performed admirably.

Big 3 points....now bring on the Pool!

Please play the kids and fringe players against anzhi please- Liverpool at WHL next week is huge and need everyone fit and fresh. Still right in there with a team that is surely going to keep getting better
