Foyth is young and inexperienced.
He'll learn.
Arm round shoulder time
rather than punishment cell
and banishment Mauricio.
And another game soon.
Lots of games,
plenty of opportunities.
Will you be bringing out a book of poems?;)

I was surprised that Poch called out Trippier and was clearly very annoyed with him regarding the first goal. I was also surprised with Lloris' comments about in-game management by the players, which is what we've been lacking. I don't know if he does talk a lot to the defence and passes messages on to the rest of the team, but as a goalkeeper he does get to spend a lot of time observing.

He Lloris is also guilty of the lack of in game management too. The times he has immediately bowled the ball out when we are winning the game but coming under pressure. These players need to learn to slow the game down and stop letting the opposition dictate the pace.

I think hes got fantastic potential and will turn into a very good player. He also showed that last season in his FA Cup appearances.
PL football is probably a step up in pace from anything he has played before but he has got to learn sometime and I think he will.

Because that is the stock answer to every player having a bad game or making a few errors!

I think so far this season we have had a clamour for many to be dropped....Hugo after PSV, Kane when he went 3 games without scoring in September, Moura for this last game because his form had dropped.

I think people dont understand that Poch and the rest of the coaching staff see them every day in training, we see them a couple of times a week. Im sure every week they discuss what they did well and what they did wrong. It is how they react to that that is important.

It is funny how people's general view of players ability increases with non playing. Dele was getting slagged off earlier in the year and now we cant wait for him to come back. Aurier was a scapegoat but now he is our right back saviour!

Yes I thought Trippier had a shocker on Saturday but I agree with you sometimes immediately dropping them is not the best thing to do.

Id like to see Foyth given another game quickly as well so he doesnt linger on the pens.

If a striker is misfiring the common view is that you let them play themselves back into form. If a manager decides a player is good enough then he is likely to persevere with the said player through a small run of bad form. The exceptions are generally lack of fitness, a bad attitude by the player or an inability to work on the training ground to improve. We as fans need to be behind all our players. Sure we have favourites but should never let this blind us to the progress of the whole team

I didnt see the game live Saturday and was getting texts etc... to update me. Going from the reports on Foyths mistakes i was expecting something a lot worse than i saw when i did watch it.
I agree it would have been a lot worse if wed lost but silly mistakes aside and taking into account hes still very young i thought the reaction was well over the top.

Thankfully he refrained from passing the ball out to a player stuck in the corner with nobody to pass to. The number of times we've caused ourselves problems with this, and it gets worse as teams realise it's an opportunity to put us under pressure. My preference would be for Lloris to kick long and have our players competing 100% for the second ball. Lose it further up the pitch and the back line should still be intact.
