The welcome to Sydney has been amazing. Sydney media have been allover this.

In case you dont follow Spurs on social media we have a 20 metre high mural of the Hurricane on the Sydney harbour bridge, Harry took a selfie in front of his mural. They lit up the bridge and took a few players to the top of the bridge and interviewed them with the backdrop of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House.

Other players visited local Sydney hospitals, particularly the children's wards, they gave away scarfs and hats to the kids with big smiles on their faces, who had probably never heard of Spurs, but they will remember this day for the rest of their lives. The Spurs PR machine is in full swing and doing an excellent job at promoting their brand.

So very proud my my football club atm.

And Chel$ki arrive here and play Sydney FC 3 days later yet not a murmur, and no images of John Terry on the Harbour Bridge,at least not yet anyway, fuck 'em.

Great to hear that Spurs are going down a storm with the locals. Australians are used to English sportsmen giving things away, but normally it's wickets. That's probably why it's such big news.

Conversely, England exporting scum to Australia is not big news. Been there, done that.

Hadn't heard about the hospital visits, that's fantastic to give back after the stunning displays over the Sydney Harbor. The lights over the bridge and buildings portraying the players and badge was absolutely jaw-dropping to see. Great stuff.

5 am kickoff for me here though... may have to hope some kind soul records it.

sigh, these are the times when being a US fan is tougher for sure. The only reason I'm going to be watching any of it is because I have to get up that early for work anyway (and I'm leaving earlier to take in the 2nd half at least)

Soldado, fazio, dembele, mcgee and mason should feature for at least one whole half in this match since they didnt appear in the malaysian match.

Chadli and Onomah should feature a lot also as they only played about 25 minutes in malaysia.

Winks, Dier, Yedlin and Stambouli were the full-timers so thwy may feature much less this time round.

Go figure the team now with that sorted out

Does Del Piero still play for them? Haven't followed A-League at all this past season.
Nope.

On another note, it looks like they released their top scorer (and highest scorer in the league last season) Marc Janko a couple of days ago. Weird.

Would much rather see Chadli given an extended run out at striker than see Soldado, who is likely to leave this summer anyway (at least we'll attempt it), given those minutes. Same applies to Dembele. He's obviously not a prime factor in Poch's plans, so I'd much rather see those minutes given to the younguns.

What I also find amazing is how Ch 7 have picked up on this and been promoting this game for over a week. I just wonder if these are paid ads by THFC or at least part of the promotional agreement.

Alot people dont even know that Chel$ki are coming, not one mention on the tube yet that I have seen. The difference in professionalism between our club and Chel$ki is very obvious when you see this type of thing happening before your eyes, rather than reading media articles from the other side of the world.

Standing in the pub singing my heart out right now. Will upload footage later. Kickoff not for 3.5 hours. This is phenomenal.

Big come on you spurs rally with everyone getting air outside too
