He has just been unlucky with the amount of injuries he had. He has never really had a chance to show what he can do on a consistant basis. :-|

I think he should be given much more of a chance to prove himself to Ramos - two sub appearances is hardly that.

Perhaps he's not showing enough in training, but I've seen enough of him to think he could be a very good squad player. He may even be able to take up the midfield holding role when Zokora goes to the ACN.

Teemu Tainio from Tornio is a great servant for the club, and I believe a genuine boyhood Spurs fan. Always puts the effort in, and is a neat and tidy passer.

But he is absolutely not Ramos' idea of a wide midfield player because he's never going to go down the line and put a devastating cross in.

I did think Ramos might see him as a CM, but he now seems to be right at the back of the CM queue. He's definitely behind JJ, Zoko, Steed, Hud, Prince, and maybe even Jamie O'Hara who came back from loan straight onto the bench. Looking at Sunday's subs, Teemu appeared to be the reserve defender, in case either of our full backs broke down.

He's too good and too honest a player to be that far down the pecking order. So, if Ramos doesn't see a role for him, then the sensible and fair thing is to let him go.

King is our club captain, and ramos would be mad to sell him. Tainio has had chances to be in the first team but ramos hasn't picked him.... king hasn't..... christ....

Exactly what he said. Good solid professional, wish more players could have his application, would never slag him off, but hand on heart he isn't good enough for an aspiring Top 4 team. Doesn't excel in any particular area and I would suspect isn't athletic enough for Ramos.

I'm just wondering why Tainio is the one to be said could be leaving - especially when the reason given couldn apply to a number of other players in the team. Journos must be board today - or Teemu's agent is!

I'd like to add my name to the "i like Teemu, think he's a good player when fit and hasn't ever really had the chance to show us what he can do" list.

The list is fictional... but then my name isn't really tRiKS it may suprise you to know!
