I see zero synergy between Disney and a European soccer club/brand/franchise, barring some major change in corporate direction by Disney. The article itself is pure speculation based on pretty much nothing concrete as far as I can see.

I agree it's just fanciful, not even speculation.

I disagree that there's no synergy though. There's bags of the stuff: the entertainment industry, big global audiences and an shared interest in making pots of money being just a few.

I choose my words carefully in the following post and would love feedback from my fellow supporters on this:
IF, and I think it is very unlikely, ENIC ultimately sold out to a country that one of our members recently described as "Oil Slavers" --- thinking Gulf petro states here.....it would be really hard for me to follow my club. I have been a supporter since I was 5, including periods where watching us play would almost make me physically sick with worry (the near bankrupcy period around 1991 specifically). I love this club and it is my one and only club. But what could I do if we were sold to people who were like the Citeh owners, or dare i say it, worse (yes possible...here's looking at you Saudi royal family)? Knowing that we were bought to bring a veneer of respectability to a human rights abusing regime.....think it would be too much. Never a chance i would support someone else but cheer on blindly like these City fans? Not sure about that.

Provided the new owners weren't murderous despots or something, personally I wouldn't care. I want to see Tottenham win the league and if that means getting new mega-money owners, so be it. I respect you and others for having an ethical standpoint though.

I have to say with Levy being Jewish and our connection as a club. I’d find it very surprising if we sold out to any Arab based company. I think Americans are much more likely.

I've said similar myself. As much as I'd love to see us win the league etc., winning it like City do would just completely taint the whole thing for me. It just wouldn't be the same. All our achievements would have an asterisk next to them as far as I'm concerned and it would be our club in name alone, just a husk.

Incidentally, how far back does the Jewish-owners continuity go?

I know there was Sugar and Scholar; any other Jewish owners?

You miss that when it comes to racism and prejudice, nobody does it “better” when it comes to Arabs and their feelings towards anything Jewish ( matched only by the Chinese and their attitude to everyone bar themselves! )

In no world will any oil funded Arab state want to be part of our club, no way whatsoever. Which is great because I wouldn’t want a City/PSG style owner anywhere near our club!

It’s funny you have to wonder what the ENIC out mob Actually want. Their agenda seems to revolve mainly around spending money. Which will only happen on a level to compete with city if we are taken over by the mega rich. But then I’m sure they’ll moan we have sold out and become plastic.

Well the lot I know would happily have city's owners.

What absolute nonsense ,we don’t have to outspend chelsea, city or Utd. Over a season, spurs would take at a minimum 7 out of 18 points off the them.
Arsenal we will generally take points off each other.Spurs will never be able to compete with city or Utd.
We need to be better than the rest of the league at buying players to beat those clubs outside the top 5.Dont buy soldado ,Ng, George ,Janesen ,Loriente buy one good player. Those four home draws this season ,could well cost the club a CL place, because looking at our up coming games ,we generally lose at Anfield and if we lose to Utd or Arsenal ,Spurs would need a 3 game swing.

I know what you're saying but saying that arabs and chinese are racist is in itself a racist statement. Lol.
